JOIA Salomé by Iberostar -Adults Only

A relaxing holiday complimented by attentive staff in particular manager Yurena, who was informative and made our stay very special. A mention to waitresses Rebeca, Vicky, Janeth & Amanda who were attentive throughout. A gorgeous hotel and great holiday!

2nd visit to this amazing hotel. Definitely recommend it if you want the full pamper and luxury experience from your holiday. Ideal location, rooms are spacious and well equipped, we had a ground floor terrace and it’s so nice to either sit on your own terrace that also has sunbeds or sit by the pool. Plenty of comfortable sunbeds available all day long, pools are lovely and warm and clean. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for you and really add to the experience. We emailed the hotel prior to our visit and they booked all our A’la carte restaurants for us, even offered to book them for the whole 10 days should we wish. We have already done two and they were perfect. Will definitely be making a return visit in the future.

Where to start, from the second we entered the Salomé our holiday was amazing. We were greeted by Francisco with a welcoming ice cold towel and a glass of Tattinger champagne. We were a party of 2 couples The location was perfect and to wake to the beautiful view every morning was bliss. The rooms are spacious and the storage and hanging facilities were more than adequate. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh bedding everyday.
We stayed bed & breakfast and the choice was perfect for all our needs, there is also the option to visit the adjoining restaurant and with a larger selection you can then bring this up to the Salomé breakfast restaurant. The quality of the breakfast was excellent along with first class service nothing was too much trouble for the team.
The pool service “wow” Vicki !!! Salome has a unique gem there nothing was too much trouble her personality shines through her smile. We were brought nibbles throughout the day and a sample cocktail everyday along with iced fresh fruit flavoured water. A self service area on the poolside bar where crisps, nuts, sweets and fresh fruit were made available for all guests not just the all inclusive. There was an option to purchase poolside snacks or sit in the poolside restaurant and choose from a more detailed menu all meals were excellent the paella served at your table best we’ve tasted.
Sun-beds deep and comfortable, cleaned daily each had a roll pillow for under your knees all beds were prepared for you with rolled towels, headrest and there was no need to reserve beds there was enough for every person in the hotel. It was spotless around the pool with your own bell to call for drinks, snacks or towels. The heated pool was spotless too and it was a treat to lay on one of the 6 jacuzzi beds and watch the world go by in the separate pool with sea views.
Each evening we would meet in the hotel reception where a lovely chilled glass of Tattinger was available to enjoy whilst relaxing in the beautiful surrounding gardens (unlimited champagne was available throughout the day to all guests)
There were 2 gyms 1 outdoors at the side of the pool and 1 within the adjoining hotel building both were very clean with modern equipment no need to book they also had protein drinks available to purchase from the burrito bar.
The spa was a lovely treat after a day of sunbathing with a short stroll across the road you are able to indulge in a relaxing space with numerous areas again all included in your stay (we booked a slot daily to ensure a place as there is a limit to spaces perfect so no overcrowding) a charge is payable for individual services.
We would highly recommend a visit to the Salomé and we will definitely be returning. There is nothing at all that we could think of as a negative to the hotel.

Very relaxing 2weeks at salomé. All staff excellent. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Food excellent. We were looked after so well by all staff especially Amanda who served us so enthusiastically around the pool.

Our third visit and still surprised at how good the service is. Staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Vicky by the pool brought my wife’s coffee over as soon as we came out and then the whole team looked after us all day. Great hotel. We will be back

Our stay at this resort was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the service was world-class; the incredibly friendly staff, including the attentive butlers and servers, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always greeting us with warm smiles and anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained throughout our entire stay, providing a perfect, comfortable sanctuary to return to each day. The amenities are top-tier, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. The pool areas and grounds are kept absolutely pristine, creating a stunning backdrop for a relaxing getaway.However, the true highlight was the food. Every meal was an absolute culinary delight, featuring fresh ingredients, incredible flavors, and beautiful presentation that rivaled fine-dining restaurants. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough and are already planning our next return!.

The hotel was amazing, it was so clean and the staff were excellent especially Vicky, Francisco, Janet and Rebeca. The food was fantastic and I couldn’t recommend the hotel highly enough.

Our stay at JOIA Salomé by Iberostar exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly checked out, we were treated with genuine warmth and professionalism that made us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation.

The location is outstanding. Nestled right on the waterfront in Costa Adeje, the resort offers breathtaking ocean views while still being within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the beautiful seaside promenade. It strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience.

The atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for. As an adults-only property, the resort is peaceful, elegant, and wonderfully relaxing. Everything feels refined without being pretentious. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying a drink overlooking the Atlantic, or watching the sunset in the evening, there was a sense of calm throughout the property that made it easy to unwind.

The service deserves special recognition. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure we had a memorable holiday. Housekeeping kept our suite immaculate, the restaurant staff were consistently welcoming and efficient, and the front desk team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It’s clear that the staff take great pride in providing exceptional hospitality, and it truly sets this resort apart.

The amenities are equally impressive. The suites are spacious, beautifully maintained, and offer spectacular sea views. The all-inclusive dining exceeded our expectations, with excellent food quality, plenty of variety, and attentive service at every meal. The pools are immaculate, the spa is a wonderful place to relax, and having access to the facilities of the neighbouring Iberostar resort provided even more dining and recreation options. What impressed us most was how effortlessly everything came together. The beautiful setting, luxurious accommodations, exceptional food, and outstanding staff created an experience that felt both relaxing and special from beginning to end.

We left already talking about when we could return, which is probably the highest compliment we can give. Thank you to everyone at JOIA Salomé for making our holiday such a memorable one. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury adults-only escape in Tenerife.

Me and my husband stayed at Joia Salome Iberostar for 12 days. We were extremely happy with everything that the hotel offered. The food was excellent, room service was great as well. Everything cleaned every day. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful view from our room. We went on trips organized by the travel agency and we had a very good experience. Our vacation was perfect thank to people working at the hotel who did their best. Thank you very much. I will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

Once again everything was great. The suites in Salome are so nice, lovely rooms well appointed with everything you need. The best thing about the hotel is the amazing staff. All are amazing and just so kind and friendly. Legarto the pool bar and lunch spot have the most lovely staff who make every day a pleasure. The butlers are always there if you need anything and will sort out reservations etc. Another brilliant holiday looking forward to next year already for our Mother Daughter trip.

We had a similarly magical stay to many of the other reviewers, so I will generally say that you can trust them and I’ll try to focus on the things that were most notable for our impressions.

First is the overarching sense of graciousness and hospitality that permeates the entire visit. We were not on an “all inclusive” plan of any sort because we selected this area for the diversity outside the resort. That said, we spent a lot of time in the resort and there are many niceties that are simply included as part of your stay that many hotels would charge for. During the day, they offer premium champagne and cava in the lobby, which makes coming back to your room from being out in the heat ever so fabulous. At breakfast, they also offer a premium champagne. At the pool, cava and snacks are available all day; and while we were never at the pool mid-day to experience it, it seems like they were continually offering rounds of special drinks, snacks, and water. Guests have access to the extensive wet areas/thermal features of the Iberostar Anthelia spa. We didn’t even take advantage of these things very much and I don’t think most of these likely cost a ton to offer, but they profoundly change the emotional experience for me—rather than feeling like the resort is wanting me to buy something (wildly overpriced for a captive audience) at every turn, I felt more like a guest in a friend’s home who just wants me to have a good time. A friend would not serve you bad champagne at breakfast, so why should your resort?!

From a culinary perspective, everything we had was excellent. The included breakfast operates mostly made-to-order from a large menu, so it’s fresh/hot and highly customizable to your preferences, though there is also a buffet for continental offerings. They also have a sort of amuse bouche of breakfast offered that changes every day and was typically very elaborate and tasty. We really enjoy elaborate breakfasts on vacation, and food quality is very important to us-- Salome absolutely delivered!

We also had one dinner in Sea Soul, in Iberostar Anthelia. The food quality was there and the beach-side location is fun but the service was a bit slow and scattered—they seemed maybe short staffed.

My partner is celiac, so a lot of our choices of resorts and hotels boils down to prioritizing where we can get food that is safe for him. Salome took this need very seriously and seemed to have all the pieces in order (staff training, order tagging, kitchen facilities, etc.) to keep him safe because he didn’t get sick and we were there for 8 nights. While the menu is clearly marked with allergens, the staff also helps navigate modifications that might be possible. And most impressively, they offered to try to make off-menu special requests for gluten free versions of dishes they offer; this resulted in him discovering the wonder of gluten free banana flour pancakes that are better than plain flour pancakes with gluten!

In general, the service at Salome was truly spectacular. The Butler and Concierge teams were always available, so helpful, and simply a pleasure to interact with. Housekeeping did a great job and were highly reliable. The restaurant and bar staff were impeccable across the board, but we had daily interactions with two individuals who were really, really impressive. Jessica, in the breakfast restaurant, is excellent—the quintessential restaurant professional. She seemed to know everything about everything, always pleasantly answered our esoteric questions about the food offerings and gluten, and always delivered on our requests. It seemed like she could make just about anything happen, and she was always available and happy to help. In the pool bar, Rebeca is a superstar. I love cocktails, but the Canaries are a Sex on the Beach and Blue Hawaiian wasteland—I mostly gave up and just stuck with wine. What seems to be missing is thoughtful, creative, and skilled mixologists who can create anything more than the standard drinks that have been around for decades, but Rebeca was different—she has a passion and skill for the craft, has the knowledge to engage deeply on the topic, and seems to sincerely enjoy the creative expression that mixology can be. And her service style/personality was such a delight—so funny and playful, she brightened our pool visit every day.

I’m very, very location sensitive, and the perfection of this resort’s location cannot be overstated for my preferences. Just a short walk north are the jaw-droppingly gorgeous dueling black and white sand beaches of Playa del Duque. Starting 50 m to the south of the resort and extending as far as you could ever care to walk is the neverending beach/boardwalk full of countless restaurants, bars, live music venues, shops, beach clubs, etc. I could literally go to the most gorgeous beaches on the island during the day and then have my pick of options for the evening, all in a short walk. My partner and I also enjoyed doing longer exercise walks in both directions because there is so much beautiful scenery near there. And just a short/easy cab ride away is Playa de las Americas, if you really must.

The resort does have some room for improvement. The gym (shared with/part of Iberostar Anthelia) has nice, modern equipment, but it’s open-air; it was quite warm during our visit, so the lack of AC made working out a bit hard and unpleasant for me, though my partner didn’t really mind it. And while we like the chill, relaxing vibes of Salome overall, I do feel like it was a bit too (literally) quiet—some nice background music in the right places would help set the mood.

That said, these were very small in comparison to all the things we loved about it. We highly recommend it and would come back in a heartbeat!

Excellent service, 5* all the way

Had a fabulous week at Joia Salome and can’t recommend highly enough. The hotel is a relaxing vibe with the most attentive staff. From outstanding sunbed service to the best food and drinks in literally every restaurant. The El Mirador restaurant for breakfast has stunning views over the sea and serves everything from Eggs Royale to the best Full English we have had abroad. The highlight for the evening restaurants was Poseiden ….stunning gourmet dishes that were so goid we ate there twice.
The staff really do make this hotel, they’re friendly and accommodating and will cater to your every need. A huge thank you to Janeth, Paula, Rebeca, Joselin, Raquel to name but a few….they made our holiday and we can’t speak highly enough of the fantastic service.
