The Ambassador, Mumbai

All rooms airconditioner system are noisy . I tried three rooms not all are same
Pleasant stay. Very good location
Food also yummy

I have stayed in the hotel three days for office purpose. The room maintenance and food all was good. Thanks ambassador. Also it is too cost

Atmosphere is good Service and reastarunt is Good. Staff are guest friendly. Just on Marine drive and good for morning walking

Pros:
- Very courteous and friendly staff
- Decent breakfast spread / food
- Comfortable and clean beds. Decently sized rooms
- Superb location for access to all of Mumbai by train, metro, cab & bus. Walkable to major attractions.

Cons:
- Terrible state of bathrooms. No ventilation fans. BLACK MOLD in the shower. Woke up with headaches & insisted on changing rooms asap
- Bathrooms are 2 levels higher than the floor in the room! Needed an additional stool to get in. Very Strange. (SEE PIC)
- Room Tariff does not justify the dated rooms. I guess they charge for the location.
- Most of the rooms have NO VIEW or much natural light as they are facing another building, so no privacy. Rooms facing the main road are much better

Special mention to Mr.Naren for helping me out with change of rooms. Very kind and accommodating gentleman. Thank you sir. Would definitely consider staying here again if they update their bathrooms!

Nice original feel retro art deco hotel with a relaxed feel. We had a large comfortable room with all facilities you would expect. Breakfast was good mainly local food and some more western options as well. Nice location very close to Marine Drive although the air pollution made it very hard to see any view at all across the bay. We had a nice experience on two occasions for drinks and food in the evenings at Gaylords across the road a little way down from the hotel.

We recently stayed at the hotel during our very first visit to Mumbai which, can we say, was fantastic. Our stay at the Ambassador Hotel has restored our faith in hotels. The hotel was beautiful and what we felt to be very ornate. Our room was lovely, big, with a great en-suite and an EXTREMELY comfortable bed so we were really pleased with it.
The food was delicious and so well presented however what made our stay was the staff. We feel so bad that we did not get everyone’s names to mention them all in our review but in the restaurant, Ilyas was fantastic, so welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him and the staff that we saw whilst in there, Nash, Derrek and Gaurang were brilliant. The door staff and reception staff were also so warm and welcoming and helpful and finally Minarul Shikh who looked after our room comfort, was constantly there if we needed anything and made sure we were given everything that we needed and more.
We cannot thank everyone at the hotel enough for everything that they did for us and if we return to Mumbai, we will definitely book into The Ambassador Hotel again. Thank you, everyone for making our stay so memorable from Stephen & Paula.

The rooms and amenities do not justify the tariff of room.

Overall its a normal experience.

But I do say the service from them was pretty good.

Fantastic staff willing and eager to help. They are in the process of upgrading and remodeling. Location is great.

The stay at hotel was pleasant. Quality and and variety of food awakened gourmet in me.The hotel staff kind and courteous. All reception ,guards and dining hall. Ambience reminds of our 70s and 80s grand buildings

Awesome hospitality with ethic and antique building and friendly staff with tasty food, nesr to marine drive by a walkable distance.

Good stay and staff is very cooperative. Yasmeen met at reception and gourang with other team members in restaurant are very cordinal and well behaved. Feel good experience.

Room service experience not that good, food quantity is not based on price they charged.
Overall services not happy they way we pay and experience delays not prompt services.

There other options available with premium pay with same surroundings.a

This place is like going back in time yet being in the center of things in a bustling city. I wish I could have done more. I enjoyed the short time we had. The staff and services, dining and room service were great.
