Breakfast was great.. Gutted the air con wasn't working in the room.. Otherwise very pleasant stay
The air con not working when it was very hot.
I stay often, it’s a good hotel in a good location. It’s usually very good.
This stay was disappointing - I have emailed front of house but didn’t have any response.
The issues I experienced on this occasion included:
-A bright red flashing fire alarm light positioned directly above the bed, which made it extremely difficult to sleep.
-A large gap underneath the room door, allowing excessive light into the room throughout the night.
-The room itself was far too small and hot, and the fans provided were not adequate for the weather conditions. The air-con needs to be fixed, or not use rooms where the air-con is not working.
-The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and very firm.
-The TV functionality was also unacceptable. It required agreeing to terms and conditions to use the smart features, but the page would not load, meaning none of the functions worked apart from live TV.
I’m most annoyed that there was no response to my email where these issue were put forward.
Staff were very good. Helpful and friendly.
Table and floor in breakfast dining room were very unclean with old grease very spread on the table we sat at. Clearly the table was being wiped centrally from time to time but the corners were being missed and food debris/ grease were visible and touchable. The floor in the area where we sat was also badly cleaned. It looked like a busy cleaner from time to time had a stab at it but not very well.

Breakfast wasn't great,had been hanging around too long admittedly we were among the last to dine but was well within the time frame set
Good solid accommodation that delivers what it promises. Bed was comfortable and rooms were clean. Food was reasonably priced and portions were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a wide selection buffet
External rooms can hear the motorway when the windows are open we were moved to an internal room and had no issues.
The staff gave us a lovely welcome even though we arrived late. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed an early morning swim. The social spaces looked good although we didn’t have time to enjoy them.
We had a bit of a walk to our room but was not a big issue.
The bar area and restaurant were lovely.
Nothing in our room worked. The issues with air con across the whole hotel are extremely frustrating too.

THE SURLY UNCOMMUNICATIVE MAN ON RECEPTION WHO SHOULDN'T BE IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY!!
TALK ABOUT RUDE! HE WAS BARELY ABLE TO RAISE A GRUNT TO WELCOME US AND GIVE DETAILS OF DIRECTIONS TO OUR ROOM. WE FELT WE WERE IMPOSING ON HIS EVENING. HE JUST COULDN'T BE BOTHERED.
Good food with golf board option, easy dog walking nearby.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable, every time one of us moved it woke the other. Breakfast was ok, some items cold and left on buffet too long!
Updated decor and comfortable seating in open areas
Facilities were good, breakfast VERY good for vegans - plant based yoghurt, croissants and sausages
Swimming pool on the small size
My partner thought breakfast was good I didn't rate it good it could have been better
I dint like the breakfast it could have been served fresh the coffee machine wasn't working properly but we both had different opinions.
