Bed really comfortable. Room lovely. Staff lovely and helpful. Stunning building and grounds and the pool was beautiful. We got a free room upgrade which was very kind.
Changing rooms for the pool were dirty. The breakfast was really poor quality - definitely not worth the price. The saddest ‘continental cheese and meat breakfast platter’ I’ve ever seen.
The food was excellent and we were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. As we were really only there for 15 hours (8 of them asleep!) we didn't have time to investigate the house and grounds more thoroughly.
Everything was fine for us.
Service and the food amazing 😍 and the price out of this world 🌍
There was nothing wrong or I didn't like
The staff are absolutely brilliant. So kind anx lovely. They went above and beyond dealing with the problems with the rooms.
The rooms need rooms be better cleaned. The first room had a dirty pair of socks left in the room. Mould around the bath and dust and general filth on the room. We were moved to another room which was so kind, but again mould on bath, bath water wouldn't drain away.
The standard of food is bad. My ceaser salad had unwashed lettuce with grit, my daughters bread was stale on her toastie. Breakfast, I was so disappointed with. They serve cheap produce. The sausages were the cheap cheap sausages.
The whole experience was poor.
Staff very attentive and friendly

There were a few things on the menu that weren’t available.
The staff in the restaurant when we had the evening meal weren’t very good
Grounds
Eclectic style of decoration.
Chaotic dinner and breakfast service
All food served at dinner appeared and tasted pre frozen.
Poor substandard quality of toiletries in room tea and coffee and biscuits for the price of the room.
Over priced poor quality
Not informed of renovation works prior to booking.
Staff were polite and friendly
Didnt have breakfast
We didnt go to dunston hall, cancelled stay
Very family friendly
Very nis
The location was great, as were the friendly staff.
The bathroom was cold, the heated towel rail was inadequate, this should be reviewed. Also, I suggest providing instructions in the room to explain the use of the AirCon unit and the timer on the towel rail. I found the room cold until I worked out how to use the unit. Breakfast service on the Sunday was chaotic as there were far too few staff given the demand, apparently several staff had called in sick, however my guest and I waited over 20 minutes to be served our welcome coffee and nobody came to take our hot food order at all. I had to catch a waiter who was clearing tables to take our requests.

Cold pool and Spa
Being woken up on a Saturday morning at 8am by building work, drilling. Not ideal when you come for a relaxing weekend away.
