Our stay at InterContinental Dar Al Iman Madinah was truly a blessing. After a long journey from the United States to Makkah and then on to Madinah, we arrived exhausted. From the very first moment, the staff welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, and genuine care that we immediately felt at ease.
They went above and beyond in every way and made us feel like part of a big family rather than just guests at a hotel. A very special thank you to Mr. Mater, General Manager, who spent hours trying to help us secure an appointment at Rawdah. His patience, dedication, and sincere effort meant more to us than we can express. It was clear that he truly cared.
The Egyptian cooks and waiters were absolutely amazing — attentive, professional, and incredibly kind. The bellmen were gentle and gracious, always ready to assist with a smile. The housekeeping staff was just as wonderful — so accommodating and friendly, always greeting us warmly and consistently making sure everything was perfect. Their smiles truly made a difference.
The location is absolutely unmatched. When people say the hotel is less than 20 steps from the women’s entrance of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, it is truly without exaggeration — it is right there. After such a long journey, this proximity was an incredible blessing and made our time in Madinah so much easier and more spiritually fulfilling.
Throughout our stay, we consistently felt cared for and supported. The entire team went out of their way to ensure our comfort and peace. We left feeling deeply grateful for the exceptional hospitality and sincerity we experienced.
We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madinah and pray that others experience the same care and kindness that we did.

We stayed at InterContinental Dar Al Iman on 21 February 2026 with Iftar included. The restaurant was overcrowded and poorly organized. After being redirected multiple times, we were seated at a vacant table confirmed by staff.

When we declined to share with strangers, the restaurant manager split our table in our absence.

We left without eating.

This is not the level of professionalism expected from an InterContinental property as it does not reflect respect or reflection during the Holy month of Ramadan

Everything was perfect especially the location.

The hotel offers an unparalleled spiritual experience, especially its location that is directly within the courtyard of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. Standing just steps away from the main prayer areas and the ladies' gate, it provides a seamless transition from the sanctuary of your room to the serenity of the mosque. The hotel balances its traditional, grand Arabian aesthetic with exceptional hospitality, featuring spacious rooms and a renowned breakfast buffet. The hotel and rooms were newly renovated, giving you the luxury needed after a prayer day. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating to your needs. A true pleasurable experience.

Location is amazing rooms is very old and the price of the rooms very high as the condition of the rooms .there is noise . Service is good Amenities is bad .
And i didn’t see anything from the haram

Nice hotel but a little dated. Only bad thing was the food - except in the coffee shop in the pizza area. The room seevice burger was horrible horrible. Staff all friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a great location, across the road from the haram, especially close to the ladies section.

We had 2, 2 bedroom suites, very large and comfortable rooms.

The hotel staff are absolutely amazing, very welcoming and take care of anything and everything.

The breakfast buffet has a huge selection, eggs and pancake station made to order, all tastes catered for.

A special mention to Fahad Khan and his team at breakfast, they were absolutely amazing in looking after my family, can’t thank them enough for the special treatment they provided.

Great place to stay when in Medina.

Unfortunately, my stay at Dar Al Iman InterContinental Madinah was far below expectations, especially considering the spiritual nature of our Umrah trip.

Daily maintenance drilling noise from around 4 PM to 9 PM made rest and relaxation very difficult, and there was little apparent consideration for guests seeking a peaceful spiritual stay.

Breakfast service was also disappointing. Although it officially ends at 10:00 AM, when we arrived around 9:30–9:40 AM many dishes were already empty and not replenished. In a five-star hotel, full service should remain available until closing time.

My daughter has severe food allergies (gluten, dairy protein, nuts, soy, legumes). A simple request for eggs cooked in olive oil in a separate pan to avoid cross-contamination was declined, forcing us to order food externally.

Housekeeping was inconsistent unless specifically requested via the operator, which is unexpected for a hotel of this category where daily cleaning should be standard.

There was also an uncomfortable sense that tips were expected for nearly every minor service, which affected the overall guest experience.

Additionally, repeated attempts to meet a duty manager regarding these issues and a late checkout request were unsuccessful; I was eventually advised to contact the operator instead.

Finally, mechanical noise in the room (ventilation, air conditioning, and other sounds) further impacted comfort. I documented this on video.

Given the hotel’s pricing, reputation, and five-star rating, the overall experience did not meet expected standards.

I give 5 star rating to Mr Mohammad Muteir, the Front Desk Supervisor who was extremely helpful and made our stay worthwhile
