Wanted to love this hotel but thought it was just OK.

We stayed in a junior suite for 4 nights as we wanted to have a bath in our room. The room was spacious with a separate seating area. However, we were directly behind the lift shafts and could hear these moving whenever used. There was also building work going on in the adjoining building - the layout of the hotel meant we were one of the few rooms abutting this building - unfortunately we heard the work starting early every morning which was quite disturbing. It would have been nice to have been warned or offered an alternative room.

The bed itself was two single beds with separate bed covers pushed together. I didn’t like the mattress, it felt well past its best. The mirrored headboard was uncomfortable and not conducive to sitting in the bed reading.

Overall, the room was clean. However, I felt the bath had not been cleaned properly between us and the previous guests (small black hairs - ew).

We tried room service and it arrived on an old fashioned trolley that needed a good dusting. The pizzas were served in cardboard boxes. It was a bit basic.

The bar downstairs, however, offered good service and a decent happy hour. It would be nice in summer with the doors folded back.

One key positive is the location. The hotel is very central to all major sights and meant we didn’t need to use public transport at all during our stay.

The sister hotel on Flores st looked a better bet overall.

Everything about this hotel was perfection. The location cannot be beaten, being right in the middle of the historical centre of Porto. It is minutes to walk to the market, the riverfront or any other of the many attractions Porto has to offer. The whole hotel is spotless, and the friendly efficiency of the staff is second to none. Of special mention is the breakfast served, with so much variety and of extremely high quality. Having stayed at this hotel now, I wouldn't even think of stopping anywhere else in this marvellous city.

El trato excepcional, el hotel super limpio, todo muy nuevo, decorado muy bonito, la ubicación perfecta para visitar la ciudad todo y lo mejor de todo el restaurante del hotel, la comida espectacular.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. Fabulous hotel. Luxury, lovely smell in reception area. Bedroom was fab super king bed, we had a street facing room but with double windows so no noise. Nice view from room. Breakfast was gorgeous. The day we left we had a early flight the hotel made us up lovely Breakfast boxes. The staff at this hotel are excellent and all very friendly. One evening was wet so we had pizza and wine in the bar, very tasty. Porto is a fantastic city I will be back and I will stay in this hotel again.

El desayuno estaba genial, super completo. La habitacion muy comoda y limpia. Lo mejor, la ubicación. Ideal para ir andando a visitar Oporto.

We selected this hotel for closeness to the railway station to get to Braga after 3 nights in Porto. However, the hotel is at the top of one of the two hills in Porto. We were upgraded to a lovely top floor room with balcony - unable to use due to non-stop rain whilst we were there. Also no plug in the sink - hubby struggled to have a wet shave - having to use a running tap. Apparently it is for health & safety reasons - I guess there is no overflow available and hence water could run out over the floor if unsupervised filling of the bowl with plug in place? Bit of an inconvenient. Very comfortable king size bed - slept really well - black out blinds too. Tea, coffee and milk provided. I received an email whilst staying to ask if anything more could be done - I asked for bathrobes - these were delivered immediately - very impressed.

Breakfast was very nice - lots of fruit choice - kiwi, pineapple and melon. Yogurt in pots available. Overnight oats. Cereal selection and lots of breads. Cheeses, meats - ham and turkey ham plus chorizo. Couple of savoury pastries and lots of sweet pastries available. Plus fizz. Coffee and tea is served at the table - excellent coffee. So nice not to have coffee machine.

We did dine in for dinner in the restaurant and this area could be improved from the service perspective. However one night we ate pasta/pizza in the bar with the footy and I would definitely recommend that - Rafael the barman was excellent. His footy knowledge is superb.

Warm friendly boutique hotel. Ideal location for sights and metro. Good hotel bistro and bar serving tasty Italian menu. Room and bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία , στο κέντρο του Πόρτο. Άνετα και καθαρά δωμάτια. Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό , διαθέτει και πάρκινγκ επί πληρωμή. Πολύ καλό το ιταλικό εστιατόριο εντός του ξενοδοχείου.

Todo excelente ! Nos dieron un upgrade de habitación pero más allá de eso el hotel es muy lindo , la habitación espaciosa , cama cómoda, tenía cafe de cortesía y la ubicación 100 puntos para moverse caminando o en transporte .

We stayed at this hotel during a family trip to Porto. None of us could fault the hotel. The location was perfect and very centrally located, the rooms were clean and spacious. All the staff very very friendly and helpful. We also thought the hotel was very reasonable given the location. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting to Porto and really enjoyed our stay here.

Fantastic hotel right in the centre of Porto. Staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms are well decorated and spacious and kept clean. Only had breakfast at the hotel but the food was all fresh cooked well and great varied selection. Will definitely be staying here again.
