Brilliant little hotel with an excellent location.
Pros:

We would stay again.
Pros:

The location, the staff were very helpful, the room was clean and there was a very handy fridge. Good breakfast room service. The beds were very comfortable too. Help with luggage coming down which we were extremely grateful for.

Cons:

The steps (top floor) were tricky with our luggage and the location of our room made it very hot in the heatwave (obviously not their fault) We had a little fan which helped a bit.

Pros:

The hotel's location is perfectly situated just outside of the city centre. The centre is easily walkable through the Museum Gardens opposite. It is well furnished, and the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

We visited during hot weather and the room did not have great ventilation. The hotel provided a small fan, but it was not enough to cool the room. The weather is obviously not controlled by the hotel, but there were minimal provisions to cool the room and often we found the hotel to be warmer than outside. This meant our stay was quite uncomfortable.

It was a great stay and I highly recommend.
Pros:

It was in a quiet area yet close to town. Bed was comfortable, and it was well stocked with drinks and snacks. Employees were friendly and helpful. Great experience!

Comfortable, cosy, friendly hotel a stone’s throw from central York. Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Breakfast options a tad limited, but it’s a small boutique hotel with no real kitchen to speak of, so we didn’t mind this.
