Great location rooms need an upgrade

Great location really lovely staff and breakfast was great

Cons:

Room was tired, shower curtain had a red stain/mold around the bottom of it and door to the bathroom was coming apart. My grandson found a toy under one of the beds so don’t know the last time the beds were moved and cleaned under.

Sufficient for an overnight stay and close to town but I wouldn’t want to stay much longer.
Pros:

Good position in town for food, stadium and CBD. Quiet.

Cons:

For the price the rooms require refurbishing and updating. Carpet is pretty bad. Bathroom is small and shower leaked all night. Over powering smell of cleaning products.

What is going on with Rydges?
Pros:

The fact that we were moved to a new room.

Cons:

The fact that the upgraded room was appalling. Mould all over the air conditioning unit. Tired and chipped furniture.
We had to ask to be moved to a room. Actually was a downsize from the upgrade, yet still got charged the upgrade amount.
And to top it off, late check out which was arranged at checkin was forgotten and my wife was asked to leave the room at 10.30am and not 12noon as arranged.
