Bien placé pour prendre le bateau et aller au centre de Menaggio.
Bon petit déjeuner.

WE actually paid almost 50% of original room price to get relocated to a room with a view. But that was essential as the small terrace was lovely and views of Lake Como was what gave the hotel value. But when assessing the value of the hotel we felt certain things were missing -- free water was only available on the first night? Minimal tissues, an empty fridge, and the shower feature was not up to standard at all. Probably due to the overall age the bathroom facilities were poor and the restaurant and bar were being run by another company completely which took away some of the grandure the hotel. So a nice hotel that could do better. Our stay was also helped by the attitude of one staff member who was exceptional in her efforts to offer service which was Eleonora.

Der Ausblick vom Balkon (kleines Dachzimmer zur Seeseite) war fantastisch. Da wir einen Parkplatz mit angemietet hatten (dieser befindet sich gegenüber vom Hotel im Parkhaus), war parken kein Problem.
Menaggio hat eine schöne Strandpromenade.

Location was unbeatable, clean, beautiful property, my favorite of the Como towns. Views from my balcony were just incredible. Quiet at night. Wasn’t hard to find parking, less than 10 min of driving around town (October).

La posizione

Excellent location right on Lake Como, with a beautiful view. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and everything was within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sehr netter, Empfang und Apéro am Swimmingpool, danach ein Dinner direkt am Comersee mit Blick auf Bellagio und Varenna und die Berge rund um den See, das Dinner war exzellent und der Wein (ein Sforzato di Valtellina) war hervorragend. Das Frühstück ist für die gebotene Qualität gar nicht teuer und am Ende durfte ich auch mein Motorrad alleine in der Tiefgarage mit einem Oldtimer Motorrad von Moto Guzzi (eine Superalce, ich glaube es war älter als ich) übernachten lassen, ich glaube, die beiden haben gar nicht geschlafen, sondern die ganze Nacht über gequatscht und sich bestens amüsiert.

Don't be put off by the poor reviews. The hotel probably has the best location in Menaggio just 2 mins walk from the ferry port and the same from the cafes of the main town square. Our room was spotlessly clean and the hotel appears very well looked after. Room had a kettle, safe, fridge and very effective air con which was welcome when outside temperature exceeded 35! We paid extra for a balcony and lake view and whilst I dont think it was particularly good value I think Lake Como is just generally quite an expensive place to stay, so when in Como and all that !!! View was spectacular across to Varenna and Bellagio and balcony was a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast or an aperitivo so definitelyglad we upgraded. Swimming pool was again well maintained and we always managed to get loungers despite it being small. Such a treat to have a dip after a hot day's sightseeing. Staff were helpful and told us how and where to get bus tickets to Luggano for shopping. We did have a couple of issues - the beds weren't made when we arrived but the lady on reception was very apologetic and did it straight away and we had an evening without any cold water in the bathroom so we couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet. This was rectified the following morning and thankfully didn't happen again. So in summary the hotel provided everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. It is 3 star and if you want 5 star accommodation there are other options in town - but they cost 5 times the price!

A very grand feeling hotel. Menaggio is all about the ferries and Hotel Bellavista is 2 mins walk away. The view from the balcony is of both Varenna and Bellagio, with snow capped mountains behind. The pool was a real treat for a lakeside hotel. Lovely staff. A very memorable stay.

This place is in need of a serious remodel. Tiny room, hard bed and the AC only worked sometimes. The bathroom was nearly inoperable. I’m 5’1” and had to duck for a shower, with water going everywhere. It also didn’t drain The hallway, eek! The location is picture perfect with a lovely balcony view. But don’t expect to sit by the pool and enjoy a cocktail, that’s not allowed. Also the pool closes at 6:30 so no down time after walking all day. Overall a beautiful location but needs a lot of work.
