We stayed at Hôtel Balmoral for one night during our trip to Paris, and it was the perfect base for exploring the city.
The location is outstanding — just a short walk to the Champs-Élysées and close to major attractions, yet the street itself feels quiet and relaxed. We loved being able to step outside and immediately find cafés, shops, and metro access within minutes.
The room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. While not huge (as expected in central Paris), it was well-designed and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable — we slept very well that night.
What truly made the stay exceptional was the service. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and always ready with helpful recommendations. They made us feel genuinely welcome.
Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented, with a good selection of pastries, fruit, and hot options to start the day.
If I had to mention one small detail, it would be that the elevator is quite compact — but that’s typical for boutique hotels in Paris and didn’t affect our stay at all.
Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples or travelers looking for a charming, well-located boutique hotel in the heart of Paris.
We stayed at this hotel to celebrate a big birthday. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are really clean. The bed was very comfy and we slept really well.
I wouldn’t rate this as a 4 star hotel (more 3) for the following reasons. We didn’t feel the staff were particularly friendly, especially at breakfast. The decor in some parts of the hotel is looking a bit tired - the main carpet area on the stairs for example. When we arrived we were told the lift was broken and had help carrying our bags to the 4th floor which was appreciated. The hairdryer in the room was poor quality and kept detaching from the socket. It ended up smelling of smoke and was replaced quickly with the same model. If you have room in your luggage bring your own.
To make this hotel better I would say some refresh of the decor, better in room facilities like the hairdryer and some milk for tea and complimentary still water. Overall it was an ok stay.
Lovely hotel with typical Parisian vibe in a great location a couple of minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and subway station
Very clean spacious and comfartable room with nice decor.
Staff were very efficent and friendly
We arrived at 11.00 and our room was ready which was a real bonus
Would recommend this hotel
This was our second stay at the Balmoral, and would not hesitate to stay a third time in the future.
Clean, spacious, helpful. The only drawback on this trip was the elevator was out of service, and our room being on the 5th floor wasn't the easiest to get to after 12 hours of walking. But some things are unavoidable.
Always a nice stay at the Balmoral.
High standard facilities and excellent, polite but yet friendly staff. Comfortable bed and good ventilation. For once, a functional make-up mirror.
Hotel Balmoral Paris is a wonderful Parisian boutique hotel with a perfect location.
The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel has a charming Parisian atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast was very good.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a true Parisian boutique experience in a great, central location. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
Very kind personnel-from receptionist till cleaning till butler-even helped me with elevator and suitcase-gentleman. Bedmatrass is superb.
footsteps very noisy in the room above mine (4th floor).............
Having stayed at this hotel many times before, we were very disappointed in our stay this time. The room was adequate, tho the shower could've been cleaner. However the main issue was the front desk staff, particularly the man at the desk on the night of Dec 14. We'd taken a tour and accidently brought a blanket in from the car. We asked the desk to please call the company, so the driver could circle back and retrieve it. The man flat out refused and told us to go use our room phone. We explained we dont speak French and are unfamiliar with country codes. Back and forth we went. Eventually our friends entered and helped, but it was too late. Then our friends asked for towels, since housekeeping neglected to provide any, but he said he couldn't leave his desk. How were they supposed to shower? This was interesting because over half the time no one was at the front desk! Eventually he got the towels, but was as unhelpful and rude as can be. We will be returning to Paris in the spring, but have already made reservations elsewhere. Its a shame, having stayed many times before, but this experience was enough to send us elsewhere.
A very pleasant stay just before Christmas, with a warm and professional welcome. But it was especially at our very early departure that the excellence of the service truly stood out: a carefully prepared takeaway breakfast, and a head receptionist who personally made sure everything was ready for us.
Learning that he had called the reception from his home around 4 a.m. just as we were checking out, speaks volumes about an exceptional sense of service. An address I recommend without hesitation.
We stayed for six nights. The hotel is small, but very convenient. Staff is always very nice and will solve the small issues that might arise. Highly recommend.
in fact better....as most things do not live up to their adverts.
Location very convenient. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family
Fantastic location, 2 minutes to Arc de Triomphe, to Metro, bus and RER. In a little quiet street. Gorgeous Hausmann architecture around. Spacious, bright room and bathroom. Best I ever had in Paris, Comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. Sumptuous breakfast in a lovely furnished area next to a cosy lounge. We felt like in a private home. Excellent value for money. Professional and very friendly, helpful staff, always ready to please customers. Hotel got in touch before arrival to ask for special wishes and ours was promptly fulfilled. We will definitely return.
We went there on a promotion with Voyage Privé. We had an Prestige room which is quite confy. We usually never take breakfast in hotels, but since it was included in the package, we indulge ourselves. And what a treat ! Premium quality products, nice atmosphere, don't miss it. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the Arc de Triomphe, and the metro stop is even closer ! Just a few things that should be improved : for any reasons there was no TV signal ? So no chance to catch up with the news, but used my computer instead. Also it is a bit annoying that the staff use the small and only lift. All in all a very good place to stay that I recommend.
very good, nice room and bathroom, good service, friendly and helpful personal, good location in the city.
A luxurious hotel, clean rooms, excellent central location. The breakfast is rich with a varied menu. The hotel staff is courteous and available for excellent service. Thank you very much!
The hotel is very near to al the points of interest,is very good and clean.
Breakfast is excellent, the owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our stay was one to remember and we will surely be back!
erfect location within a short walking distance from Arc de Triomphe and metro station. Lots of choice of local restaurants as well. The hotel certainly has a class feel to it. The owner must have paid a lot of attention to the details.Great choice of quality towels, tea , coffee in the room . The bed was fantastic and very comfortable( an important thing for any city break ). The classic room that we have booked was a bit small but ok for our needs as we were outside the hotel most of the day.Good size safe. The Breakfast was great with good choice of fruit, pastries, and cheese. Hot breakfast scrambled / boiled eggs with choice of bacon and sausage was also available. Quality fresh fruit juice. I thought the owner was looking to offer the hotel guests quality rather quantity. The reception area was big enough for a centrally located Parisian hotel. There were even umbrellas for the hotel guests to use - nice thought. There is a room for improvement, however:
1- conditioner and body lotion need to be provided in the room.
2- We have travelled to France, and stayed in many in French hotels in the past. We also aware that the hotels over here, unlike in the uk and many parts of the world, don’t really make any effort , or show any nice gesture if their guests come over to celebrate a special occasion. I think it will be really nice if the receptionist has shown a bit of appreciation when I told him ,,and her, that we came to Paris to celebrate my wife’s very special birthday. A small little gesture would be appreciated.
3- Still about reception. Before I get into this point , I want to say that we are very experienced travellers who travelled around the world . So we know a lot about hotel hospitality etc. what I want to say for the reception staff in this hotel is this : at the checkout , when you ask your hotel guest ‘ how was your stay with us ‘? Please pay attention, stop doing whatever you do, look into your guest’s eyes, and listen to the there answer. Show a genuine interest in what they trying to say to you. Don’t just ask the question and ticking the box.
However, the he staff in this hotel were so polite. Finally , Would I recommend this hotel to anyone ? Definitely. Would I stay in this hotel again ? Definitely. Thank you Hotel Balmoral .
Very nice place to stay in Paris, close to the "Arc de triomphe". Rooms are comfortable, staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is really good. Very good restaurants nearby, but also some tourist traps.
