Citotel Le Relais Du Bellay

This is a very attractive hotel in a lovely setting, in the town of Montreuil-Bellay. The facilities are very good, but a restaurant for evening would be a definite bonus. However, the hotel is only a few steps from restaurants. Excellent breakfast.The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our visit.

We have stayed here three times now for one or two nights en route to Italy. Lovely hotel - should be rated as four star. Beautiful location over looking the chateau. Great pool and breakfast.

Perfect location, friendly staff. WIFI wasn't working though.

Magnifique cadre, mais seule la qualité architecturale du bâtiment justifie les 3 étoiles. Chambre étroite, vieillotte, meubles abimés, entretien pas très net. Accueil froid. Pas apprécié que la publicité montre une belle piscine, mais qu'il faille payer l'accès au SPA pour pouvoir bénéficier de la piscine. Bruyant (personnel qui termine tard et parle fort dans la cour, arrivée d'un car de touristes en plein milieu de la nuit, déambulations très bruyantes dans la cour...)

Les chambres traditions du 2eme batiments ne sont pas dignes d'un logis de france 3 étoiles.
Salle de bain sans rideaux de douches ou de separation...

We booked this hotel at short notice due to a change of plan and didn't know anything about Montreuil-Bellay before this visit. The hotel was nice (some strange combinations of décor in the bedroom), the staff were very pleasant and helpful to us and the hotel building and its surroundings were beautiful. Lovely to enjoy a drink on the hotel terrace overlooked by the town's chateau. Short walks to every building of interest in the town.

Un séjour plutôt sympathique, grâce au personnel au petit soin, et au SPA, passé l'odeur de vieille poussière et d'humidité dans la chambre, puis la culture de champignons et moisissures des joints de la douche des années 70. Bon on leur pardonne!

Having stayed here before ,albeit several years ago, we were rather disappointed. The room decor seemed dated, the shower assembly was broken and we were disturbed by noise from the adjacent room. Location in the town was excellent and breakfast good.

Je suis venue pour le travail. La connexion wifi fonctionnait par intermittence. Les lit sont abec des couvertures.

excellent accueil

We used the hotel as a base for cycling. For this it was a great choice, surrounded by good quality, quiet local roads that connected us to Chinon etc without traffic.

On our return the large and well maintained pool was perfect

In the evening the local restaurants offered enough variety for a few days, but if staying more than a week I suggest that you should be prepared to drive a little

Hotel vieillot mais propre. Bien situé pour visiter quelques châteaux de la Loire. Bon accueil.

Room was small and no mirror in bedroom for drying hair.

Les chambres sont mal insonorisées, et une bouche d'aération laissait passer tous les bruits de la chambre voisine. Petit point négatif alors que le cadre est superbe et le service est correct.

j'avais réservé cet hotel car il devait y avoir un SPA. En arrivant on m'annonce simplement qu'il est hors d'usage. sans excuse ni remise sur le prix à payer...
