Would definitely stay again

Lovely outlook of Harbor. Parking was a little tight but private. Nice meal in the onsite restaurant.

Picton is a very touristy town, seems the big thing is the ferry to Wellington.
Pros:

Needed a spot to sleep before taking the free to Wellington and to be able to drop off the rental car easily, Well this spot fit the bill

Cons:

Car park was very tight, but I was lucky that someone didn't park next to me so I could get into the car without contortions.

Most enjoyable - a lovely hotel with a beautiful pool and lawn area to relax. Plus great views
Pros:

Lovely room with a view out to the Harbour. Very close to shops,cafes,etc. Lovely swimming pool

Cons:

I received an email from them saying if I hadn't been in contact with my credit card details my booking would be cancelled and that their reception may be unmanned by the time we got there. We were about 40 minutes away with poor reception but I finally got through after waiting some time for them to pick up and was able to provide details. Quite stressful

We didn’t have a friendly welcome. I don’t think we did anything wrong. It set a bad tone. Walls were a bit thin
