Our 2nd stay at Andaz 5th Ave. Great Location, Great Hotel.
Pros:

Hotel is in the best location in NYC. It is opposite the New York Public Library and Bryant Park which is a little haven inside the big city. Close to Grand Central Station and Bryant Park subway - getting around NYC was really easy. Cant recommend this hotel enough. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had an amazing few days.

Cons:

It was a little pricey - but we knew that as we had stayed there before.

GREAT location. Variable smells in the lobby (trash wafting in?)
Weird/annoying that bathroom for lobby is locked up on 2nd floor.
minus 1 star b/c it said "free drinks and snacks" but it was free drink (water) and snack (1 chocolate bar) But I paid for 5 nights, I should get 5 drinks and 5 snacks
Also, I'm allergic to eucalyptus and they didn't have other options for soap, lotion, etc except baby stuff.
no door to toilet so only 1 person could use the bathroom/shower/sinks at a time unless you are ok with the other people in the room

Pros:

Concierge is unhelpful and they all seem
to hate their jobs, which says a lot about the hotel’s management. Never anyone to help open a door, or offer a hand if you had extra bags. The features of the room are fine, but everything felt very dated/old. It’s a very expensive room (~$900/night) and there are so many better hotels in NYC.
SKIP THIS ONE. People return to a place due to service; I won’t book here again.

The hotel was excellent. Very quiet. My room was directly across from the elevator bank, and I never heard a peep. The room — a king with view — was enormous for NYC standards. Everything very simple but high end. Great bedding. Lots of lighting scenarios from which to choose. The bathroom was quite glamorous, but a little dark if you really needed to look at something. Let’s call it flattering lighting, lol. A 9 out of 10.

Cons:

Including the $10 delivery charge and nominal extra tip, I thought $50 was a tad expensive for a bowl of oatmeal.

Pros:

Stayed one night with hubby and it was nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, big (move around comfortably), and pretty quiet as was the lobby and parts of the hotel I saw. I would consider staying here again.
