Pros:

Room wasnt ready at checkin but they upgraded our room type.
It was my partners birthday - there was a welcome/birthday platter with a card upon arrival.
The pool was out of service but they accomodated with compensation to&from the nearby aquatic centre as well as admission for our family. The compensation covered the parking for the duration of stay as well which was a bonus.

Cons:

The pool was out of service due to maintenance.
The room wasnt ready at checkin.

Waited 1.5hrs for room.

I didn't like the 1.5 hr wait for my room. I went to check-in at 2pm and was told my room wasn't ready and to wait in lobby. 1.5hrs later, still waiting with no communication from staff, I went up to reception to see how my room was going and they found a room for me. By this time I was going to be late for my function that I had planned that day they tried to offer me free brekky but I already had that so I got a late check out. Yes they were busy but the couple across from me doing drug deals in the lobby got their room very quickly. Not a great look for the Hotel!

Very small, and there was a door on my wall inside the room between me and the other room. I could hear people sneezing in the next room. And I paid almost $500 for 2 nights (it was Australia day weekend though).

Very pleasant, with lovely staff, would definitely return
Pros:

Room was perfectly lovely, clean and all we needed for the night. Nice view to Albert Park and St Kilda.

Cons:

We asked for twin beds, but the beds were put together as one big bed when we arrived so had to speak to reception to have this changed. After a 9 hour car trip, this was a little frustrating but easily remedied. Also, the bathroom was old and had a rather unpleasant smell from when we arrived and the shower either scolded or froze us! Spent more time adjusting the temperature than using the shower.

Great hotel, great location. Fabulous staff.

Great location.

Cons:

Initially we were booked into the wrong room. I booked for 3 adults but room wasn’t suitable for 3 adults. Only had a trundle bed for 3rd person which was only suitable for a child. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and changed our room with an upgrade.

Nice place just not worth the money spent

Extremely poor air con, didn’t feel like it was working, upon maintenance checking, it was and offered a fan to cool down a 30 degree room.
