A Quaint Boutique Hotel in the Middle of Everything
Pros:

The Relais is a small but perfect place - if you don’t want a big, impersonal hotel - in the center of Paris, convenient to all of the sites you want to see: 3 mins to Sainte-Chapelle, 5 to Notre Dame, n, 2 mins to Olace St Michel. The best poets used to hang out here and the building was built in the 1400’s. The staff are delightful and very helpful, speaking English fluently if you’re not fluent in French.

Unremarkable, clean hotel in fabulous location
Pros:

As many have noted, the location in a quiet street close to a lot of restaurants is convenient. While we were visiting there was some minor construction noise during the day but nothing awful. The elevator is tiny and would cause trouble for people with claustrophobia. The stairs are treacherous but we took them as we were on a low floor. The property has been renovated although the carpet choice is questionable (very commercial and frankly didn’t inspire confidence). The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable though we could feel the two mattresses joint. The shower has a high step and is fairly small. People with mobility issues may prefer a different property.
We only had breakfast once and were happy we had not chosen to have it there every day as it was unremarkable. Overall, this property has 4 stars but to us felt as if it were closer to a three star (based on the French system it had an elevator which is required for 4 star).

The front desk was staffed with kind people who engaged in banter and conversation with guests.

The one private taxi we were sent by the hotel (a driver who works with them frequently) left us in the wrong location despite a price that was higher than a cab. And he complained incessantly about traffic etc. We chose to use uber and public taxis the rest of the time.

Overall, we would not stay here again but it was convenient and clean.

I would strongly recommend Relais Hotel du Vieux Paris
Pros:

Location was perfect, with easy walking to the sights, and to the lively St Germain-des-Pres restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Staff friendly and super-helpful. I would strongly recommend

Cons:

it's an historic building in the center of Paris, so understandably the spaces are relatively small.
