Great standard but due to proximity to the road not relaxing outside.
Pros:

The room was fantastic, clean and modern with comfortable pillows. We had a bean to cup coffee machine that was nice for the mornings. The spa is amazing! The food each night was fantastic (not the hottest) but a very good selection.

Cons:

The noise, this us something i was not expecting when booking the hotel. Although the glazing was good in the room so when the door was closed you didn’t hear anything. All the outdoor spaces where practically unusable. The road is right next door and is a fast road. When sitting round the pool or outside on the balcony all you could hear was cars racing past, police cars and just general traffic noise. If they played a bit of back ground music by the pool this would have atleast helped.

Such a let down as the rest of the hotel we couldn't fault, We would book this hotel again but on the colder months as the inside pool and spa would make it perfect.

We had a Deluxe junior suit, this is probably a little over kill for what we needed but it was hard to see the room layout online so it would be great for floor plans to be added to the website.

Goede ligging, vriendelijk personeel. Goede buffet 's avonds.

Cons:

Verouderde kamers, veel lawaai van de airco's. Begrijp niet dat de andere het wauw effect hebben van het ontbijt. Veel lawaai. Altijd hetzelfde. Grootkeuken. Kazen en ham zuur.

Außergwöhnlich!
Pros:

Das ganze Hotel ist ein Traum, die Aussicht ist unglaublich, toller Wellnessbereich (auch die Behandlungen sind empfehlenswert), Frühstück ist fantastisch. Wir haben im 9. OG in einem Deluxe-Doppelzimmer gewohnt. Sogar an den Geburtstag wurde gedacht: beim Frühstück gab es ein Törtchen mit Kerze und auf dem Zimmer stand dann noch Sekt und ein Obstteller…unglaublich!
Das ganze Personal ist unglaublich aufmerksam (z.B. Frühstück: Patricia)…wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt und würden hier immer wieder wohnen. Auch einen Parkplatz haben wir zu jeder Uhrzeit immer bekommen.
Wir kommen aus der Hotellerie und können nur sagen: Das Hotel hat eigentlich 5 Sterne verdient!

Cons:

/…die Abreise .. wir wollten länger bleiben ;)

es war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. das pool war auch super schön mit der terrasse

Cons:

das zimmer war ein wenig dunkel eingerichtet. ich denke das liegt an den vorhängen - die waren zu dick und so hatte man keine privatsphäre wenn man licht wollte..

A good base 20 min away from Funchal
Pros:

- great mattress
- parking on site
- tea/coffee facilities in the room (fridge as well)
- good sized room
- breakfast very good
- outdoor pool clean
- good location - 20 min walk to centre of Funchal

Cons:

- terrible pillows - there is a pillow bar but costs extra if you want a „normal“ pillow that is neither too big nor too small
- cool window in the bathroom but cannot open it…

The rooms were very comfortable, and we especially appreciated the pillow menu. Breakfast was excellent overall, and we also really enjoyed the spa area with its good selection of saunas, steam rooms and hydrotherapy facilities.

Cons:

One morning, the freshly squeezed orange juice tasted noticeably sour, and on another day we were served packaged juice, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. The pool area also felt undersupplied with sun loungers, with barely enough available for guests at busy times.

Beautiful, relaxing, lovely staff and great food.
Pros:

Incredible views from the room. Large windows and seats in the bedroom to enjoy the view and a small balcony if we wanted to be outside.
The spa was modern and super relaxing.
The staff were so helpful and friendly and left left a bottle of Madeira wine and handmade chocolates in the room for my birthday - delicious- thank you so much.
The food for breakfast and dinner was varied and delicious. We sat outside on the balcony to eat with views across Funchal.
The local sparkling wine was very reasonably priced and delicious.
