The hotel itself has a lot going for it—clean rooms, a wonderful executive lounge, and an unbeatable location close to everything downtown.
Unfortunately, the service experience didn’t match the setting. Interactions with staff consistently felt off. Our room wasn’t ready until 4:30 p.m. due to a feather-free request—yet the room still contained feathers. Basic service requests also fell short: toilet paper was never replenished despite asking, and room service dishes remained in the room even after we requested pickup.
The most frustrating moment came at checkout. We were not allowed to check our bags in the lobby because we were part of a conference and were instead directed to the third floor. After days of constant walking, this felt unnecessarily inconvenient and out of touch with guest needs.
**Would I recommend the JW Marriott?**
While there are clear highlights, the repeated service issues and lack of responsiveness ultimately outweighed the positives. I left feeling disappointed and, frankly, frustrated.

Our stay was absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. The entire hotel staff was warm, welcoming, and consistently attentive, and the rooms were impeccably clean—truly exceeding our expectations in every way.

Everything, the beds comfy, rhe view beautiful. Like having a Starbucks as the hotel. Free water botrles were a plus.
Staff was amazing. M lounge was great. We stayed on the 33rd (top) floor and the elevators kept us up all night. Banging and clanking. They were extremely fast elevators which was great. Not sure if a lower floor would have been better or not but a restful night was not had.
It is in a good location. We walked to the zoo and that was so fun.

Jasmine made our check in a great experience. She explained all the property amenities and checked us into our room promptly so we could get freshened up for the Work Truck Show that day. Coming from Hawaii to Indianapolis it was great that our room was ready when we got to the hotel. The stay was seemless for our business and the location and restaurants were great! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Indianapolis downtown area.
