A very special time
Pros:

Exactly what I expected a Victorian hotel overlooking the sea would be . I was travelling solo and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful . Parking next door was easy and everything was within a few minutes walk . Very clean room and spacious with lovely views .

A comfortable couple of nights in a perfect location
Pros:

The location is absolutely perfect.
I attended a concert at BIC, one minute after leaving the concert I was at the hotel door.
Also, the beach is moments away without the need to cross roads. (Pedestrian underpass).
Bus stop is directly out front with regular buses to town and further afield.
The staff were both helpful and courteous.

Cons:

The room was maybe a little dated but serviceable. Everything necessary is there.
Breakfast would be perfect with just a little addition to the menu.
These are very minor issues.

Absolutely smooth if you're ok with a minimal experience in a convenient location.
Pros:

Squeaky clean, comfortable and with friendly staff, in an amazingly convenient location. Didn't have a single issue.

Cons:

I understand they recently changed ownership and it feels like it's still a work in progress. Lots of modern standards are still missing. The basics are all adequately covered though, except maybe for the breakfast – not many options yet, so we didn't bother trying it. Looking forward to come back.

Desolates Hotel mit freundlichem Personal
Pros:

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Es ist nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt und in der Umgebung gibt es ein paar Restaurants.

Cons:

Wir waren an einem Feiertag in diesem Hotel und hätten es lieber nicht machen sollen. Die Parkplatzsuche war eine Katastrophe. Generell ist das Hotel in einem desolaten Zustand. Was wir auch später am Abend bemerkten: Wir begaben und erst sehr spät in unserer Zimmer und merkten erst gegen 22 Uhr, dass der Teppichboden zwischen unseren Betten komplett durchnässt ist. Nach Rückmeldung an das Serivepersonal hiess es eine Leitung wäre offen gewesen, aber sie haben diese geschlossen. Dies war eine Lüge. Um 22.30 Uhr wollte sich mein Mann ins Bett legen, da merkte er, dass das komplette Bett durchnässt ist unter der Decke. Das Personal konnte sich dies Anfangs nicht erklären, bis wir feststellten, dass es aus der Deckenlampe tropft. Da wegen Feiertag alle Zimmer ausgebucht waren, konnte wir es nicht wechseln. Sie wollten uns erst mit mehreren trocknen Decken abspeisen, aber wir bestanden auf eine neue Matratze. Erst gegen 23 Uhr konnte erhielten wir diese und konnten Schlafen gehen. Das Frühstück war a la Carte, was zwar nicht das Problem ist, jedoch musste man für vieles noch extra zahlen.
