Royal Malioboro by ASTON

The rooftop bar/restaurant in the early evening. The Royal Gin and Tonic was amazing, as well as the friendly service. The Mediterranean Salad was especially good. It was nice to sit up there as the rain poured down over the city.
The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the water coolers just outside the rooms instead of using plastic bottles!
The hostess at the breakfast buffet started our day with a smile, and the buffet was outstanding.
The location for those traveling by train can not be better. Extremely convenient to pull your bags from the hotel front door to the station. The access to Malioboro Street is also a plus.

The hotel was well priced and good value based on the rooms and location. I travelled by train and upon arrival walked diagonally across the road. Doing the same in reverse to catch the train to the airport. Malioboro Street was just around the corner with shopping, small mall and lots of eating and lively atmosphere, especially in the evening. The hotel staff were all very nice and friendly. At reception they kindly organised my driver to visit Borobodur and checked that the temple was open in Mondays (the internet was confusing about that). On the downside, having come from the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski in Jakarta I did find the Royal Malioboro a little noisy but of course, much cheaper. Thank you all the staff for making me welcome.

Location was very close to station, but super noisy due to the trains. Busy location, but easy to travel to and from. Rooms were simple but fine.

Great location close to the train station and the top end of Malioboro st. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the buffet breakfast also.

Yogyakarta en general pero en Royal Malioboro en especial, la atención de su personal con los huéspedes es excelente, cordial, cercana, personalizada, ninguna petición fue desastendida durante nuestra estadía, y si no era posible se daba una explicación razonable, eso se valora mucho cuando se viaja a un lugar culturalmente muy distinto de casa, el Hotel contaba con todas las comodidades que se anuncian, y el buffet al desayuno muy completo, con especial detalle en las opciones occidentales.

Conviniently in walking distance from train station, city center, Malioboro with so many choices of restaurant in vicinity. Stay two nights with family, enjoyed the vast breakfast and spacious and clean room. I do hope they equipped the room with coffee maker.
