Great location and terrace, but disappointing handling of our reservation
Pros:

The location is excellent — very central, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It’s within walking distance of the Old Quarter and the northern part of Train Street. Our room had a large terrace with a nice view, which we really appreciated. The beds were comfortable, and despite being in the city center, it was surprisingly quiet. We would also like to highlight that the receptionist was very kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay.

Cons:

When we arrived after a 10-hour flight, we were told by the hotel manager Ms. Mai that our room was still occupied and unavailable for our first night. We had to move to a different nearby hotel, which was very inconvenient — especially considering my wife is pregnant.
Additionally, the air conditioning could not be controlled from the room due to a faulty control panel, and we had to rely on reception to adjust it, which was quite inconvenient.
The manager, Ms. Mai, insisted on cash payment, which forced me to withdraw money multiple times due to low ATM withdrawal limits in Vietnam. After I paid in cash, she unilaterally changed our Booking reservation from 9 nights to just 1 night, which felt highly unprofessional and likely done to avoid Booking.com commission fees.
Overall, the experience left us with the impression that we were being taken advantage of rather than genuinely welcomed as guests.

Pros:
