Astoria Vico Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria for three nights. The staff was top notch providing friendly service and helpful advice/recommendations. Our room was clean and quiet with a comfortable mattress. Buffet styled breakfast was delicious and was the perfect start to our day. The Hotel is a 2 minute walk to the train station and an easy walk to the center of Vico. Plenty of restaurant choices within easy walking distance. We enjoyed drinks on Hotel Astoria's Terrace overlooking Naples Bay with a great view of Mt Vesuvius. On our day of checkout our scheduled Campania Express was cancelled due to a rail strike. The staff at Hotel Astoria, went above and beyond in arranging transportation to Naples train station and allowed us to make our reservation for a high speed train to Rome in time.

Great location to get around as train and bus station next door.
Bay facing rooms are noisy however as on main route to Sorrento. Avoid if possible the room on the first floor with two windows as v noisy. Staff couldnt have been more helpful though as train strike.

This hotel is a solid choice and a great value. Very close to the train station and lots of restaurants nearby. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. Breakfast is good quality and there is a nice variety. Hotel does have quite a bit of noise - walls are thin and you can hear people, plumbing, etc. Also, our AC was not functioning. Other than these minor issues, it was a very nice stay.

Staff was very helpful and so kind

This is a family run hotel. They are so helpful and keen to make your holiday a success. It is in a great location near to the train and bus station. We had lovely rooms with wonderful views of Vesuvius. The breakfast was very good and the service excellent. Vico Equense is much quieter and more ‘Italian’ than Sorrento. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

We loved our stay at the Astoria Vico. We arrived an hour early so went to explore and came back to find our cases already in our room. We looked out onto the main road so there was a certain degree of noise from the traffic if the window was open. It wasn’t enough to disrupt our sleep though and was more than worth it for the amazing view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. The room itself was clean, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. There were a few cracks and chips if you looked for them but that’s to be expected from an old building. The staff were fantastic. We always got a warm welcome whenever we arrived back at night. A special mention needs to go to Luigi who always gave us a huge smile at breakfast every morning! Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from each day and the dining room was lovely and modern. The location of the hotel is perfect - a short walk takes you to the town centre where there are several nice restaurants, and a 30 second walk takes you to the train station where you’re only 5 stops away from Sorrento. The beach club linked to the hotel is a bit of a downhill trek but lovely when you get there. We’re glad we chose the calm of Vico Equense to come back to every night. We would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of a stay on the Sorrento coast and we would love to return ourselves one day.

An AMAZING stay at Astoria Vico. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great view of the water. The location was excellent. Right next to the train station where you can visit the surrounding areas. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants.
The whole staff at the hotel were fantastic, very friendly and looked after us very well. A special thank you to Gabriela who helped us with reserving a driver, dinner/lunch recommendations and reservations. I highly recommend Astoria Vico and would definitely return.

Was a nice room

For a three star hotel this was a beautiful stay.

Staff were more than friendly and helpful, everywhere was immaculately clean and the location was perfect. We didn't have a sea view room but the shared balcony was lovely with sofas and usually quiet.

Breakfast was plenty, kept us going till late afternoon each day and a lovely welcome greeted us every morning.

The only snags if I had to choose would be that rooms are on first floor and there is no lift (but staff wanted to help with cases when we arrived and stairs are wide) and no coffee making facilities in the room. However, it is a three star hotel and these are definitely not enough to give less than a five star review.

A escolha do hotel Vico Astoria em Vico Equense não poderia ter sido mais acertada.
O quarto ficava com vista para o Vesúvio e do lado da estação de trem, de onde saíamos rapidamente todas as manhãs para explorar a Costa Almafitana.
Apesar disso era bem silencioso e confortável.
Próximos ao hotel havia várias restaurantes, supermercados e toda a estrutura necessária.
Agora o destaque foi a equipe do hotel, sempre muito prestativa, e que vale mencionar a Chiara que nos recepcionou e fez a reserva de nosso jantar na primeira noite com muita gentileza, o Luigi que nos atendeu nos cafés da manhã (muito bons por sinal) sempre muito cordial e especialmente ao Antonio que nos deu um suporte sem igual, nos ajudando em todas as nossas dúvidas e necessidades.
Pra finalizar, eles tem um panfleto muito útil sobre os horários de trens e transporte de ferrys para Capri, Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, etc., que foi companheiro da nossa viajem o tempo todo para nos orientarmos.
Enfim, já deixou saudades e voltariamos com certeza.

Personale molto gentile, posizione comoda con parcheggio o per i servizi pubblici circostanti. Al fianco dell’hotel è presente l’unica colonnina pubblica per la ricarica delle auto elettriche

Mit dem Zug (Bahnhof in der Nähe) schnell in Neapel, Sorrent und Pompeji. Kleines Hotel ohne Fahrstuhl. Alle Zimmer in der ersten Etage. Frühstücksbufet klein, aber sehr lecker. Balkonzimmer war mit Blick auf das Meer und den Vesuv. Straßenverkehr war bei geschlossenem Fenster wenig zu hören. Vico Esquense selber mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Essen/Trinken und wunderschönen Orten zum Ansehen. Ich fand es toll!

Great hotel located just next door to the train station making it very convenient for day trips. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hotel was clean the staff were very friendly and Vico is a beautiful town. We’ll definitely be back.
