Cuevas del Tío Tobas

Un lugar estupendo a 10 minutos de Guadix, donde desconectar y descansar en plena naturaleza. La comida del restaurante es simplemente espectacular (no puedes irte sin probar las gachas) y el desayuno también es de 10. El personal es tremendamente amable y el poder acudir con nuestras mascotas y disfrutar de estar con ellos en todas las estancias del alojamiento, sin duda es lo mejor de lo mejor. Seguro que volveremos. Muchas gracias por todo.

Fascinating concept - i.e. staying in a cave - but the cave space wasn't much different from a country cottage once furnished with old furniture, lighting etc. Our living room was adequate, but the bathroom shower cubicle was in bbad condition. The bedroom (deeper into the cave) was delightful to look at, but the mattress and pillows were hard.
Perhaps this place would be a lot better at the start of the season?

First cabin had bad smell, quickly changed us to another. Restaurant was very good and value for money.
Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice? The whole place is very interesting and definitely worth a vist

The cave apartment was fantastic- very unique place to stay. Restaurant and breakfast both excellent

VERY UNIQUE AND INTERESTING "CAVE LIKE" ROOMS. HISTORY OF ENTIRE SURROUNDING AREA WAS DEPICTED IN A VERY INFORMATIVE BOOKLET IN ROOM'S READING MATERIAL.

Bortset fra at vi på ankomstdagen blev del generet af en skoleudflugt som støjede meget området var det et fint ophold

Really enjoyed our first stay in a cave hotel. The Cuevas del Tio Tobias was a superb complex with many caves scattered around catering for various size families with many facilities on site, ie pool, restaurant, cafeteria. All of the caves had there own fully equipped kitchen so if you wanted, it could be totally self catering. The restaurant was superb, but be warned the portions were enormous. My husband ordered the T bone steak and it was a small joint!! All of the meals in the restaurant could be ordered as 'take away' so could be eaten back at your cave. Wonderful if you have children. As a family holiday centre it was great. .Be warned though we went at the end of May and things were not fully operational, no tables and chairs outside our cave, no cafeteria, no shop and we had trouble finding the reception open. I think we were the only guests there. In spite of that we will definitely visit again, as these caves wre original and not spoilt by too much modernisation. They were furnished with lots of original bits and pieces but the comforts of a good clean bed, proper bathroom and a fully functional kitchen but you felt as if it was how they used to be.

Our stay was just 2 nights but it far outweighed our expectations, so much so that we are considering a return next year with family for a longer period!

Das Appartement im Fels war eine gute Erfahrung! Gutes Bett und ruhige Lage. Wir würden das Cuevas del Tío Tobas sofort wieder buchen. Das Städtchen Guadix mit der Touristenbahn erkunden lohnt sich.

Et herligt sted at overnatte lige efter vi havde krydset Sierra Nevada fra syd til nord. Vi havde en gang tidligere kørt forbi egnen med alle hulerne og lovet os selv, at vi måtte prøve at bor dér engang. Det levede fuldt ud op til vores forventninger.
Hulerne har et meget behageligt konstant klima og er vidunderligt stille.
Vi kørte fra 25 gr på kysten og vandrede i 10 gr i passet La Ragua. Et smukt sted fyldt med æbletræer, brombær, tjørn og andre vækster, som vi er helt uvant med her i sydspanien. Vågnede op til 6 gr og sne på bjergtoppene.

Slapen in een grotwoning moet je 1keer in je leven gewoon doen. Een hele leuke en aparte ervaring. Park was schitterend met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Alle voorzieningen zijn op het park aanwezig, met een zeer goed restaurant die zeker niet duur is.

Die Höhle war toll, sehr groß und etwas ganz einzigartiges und die Anlage rundherum auch. Das Essen im Restaurant war lecker, wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Small cosy hotel, fresh air and nature on the door step, the room was very spacious, actually a cave house with separate bedroom. Nice restaurant, with a view.

Muy buena estancia en "Cueva del tio Tobas", al llegar nos dieron una casa superior a lo reservado, un encanto, las habitaciones y la cocina eran cueva, mientras que el estar y el baño no, un encanto, dormimos muy bien sin pasar frío ni calor.Muy cómodo para aparcar el auto y el restaurante una delicia, cenamos de maravillas.

Nachdem wir in verschiedenen Hotels auf unserer Reise waren, waren die Höhlen ein Highlight. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr lecker und der Pool erfrischen. In den Wohnungen ist es nicht heiß, und in der Umgebung gibt es einiges anzuschauen. Ein tolles Erlebnis. Und teuer ist es hier auch nicht.Können wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
