Tv,s in whole complex were all not working due to antenna out for some weeks. Broken toilet seat. Broken door on ensuite. Terrible pillows. Rattling external door outside room which had to be jammed shut until finally fixed late in week due to being a fire exit. Overwhelming musty smell in reception and main hall which permeated into rooms. Reception only manned when large groups checking in. Staff friendly but seem to be their for good time only. Poor breakfast choices that improved when school groups came in. Only on one occasion was juice available. Coffee machine broken. Continually had to ask for plates cups utensils. Overall very run down hotel in need of maintenance and people who care. Shame because stayed here 10 years ago and was so much better with great evening meals and a true breakfast offering, staff who cared and better maintenance.
Great position to walk to snow, ski lifts, hire equipment and Smigins centre and pub.
Staff were friendly.
Walking distance to the lift , restaurant and rental store , the hotel accommodate many students but it wasn’t a problem to sleep . All perfect if i go back for sure i would stay in the same hotel . Staff are very friendly and helpful .
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Excellent location of the property.
Very clean.
Highly recommended.
Price is little high but worth paying for this property.
The people are their biggest asset. Our car (AWD) was stuck in the car park due to overnight snow. The team members helped us out getting shovels, removing the snow in the path to the road and got our car out. They didn't need to do, they wanted to help. Thanks a lot team Snowy Gums
Great location but an otherwise run down property with cold corridors and bedrooms. Our bedroom was uncomfortably cold, small radiators were on all day but the huge drafty windows and gaps under the doors were enough to make for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The deafening noise from the wind on the huge old windows was occasionally drowned out by noisy neighbours through paper thin walls. Arriving at night there is poor signage and lighting which reflects the obvious lack of effort/investment over recent years. On snow accommodation isn’t cheap so you’d think a small amount of investment would be worthwhile to modernise and upgrade facilities over time. Staff were helpful, breakfast was ok, but the property itself is 20 years overdue for a renovation to make for a comfortable stay.
Great spot for visiting perisher. Lovely staff and amazing bar/dining options
Great location
Great thank you
Property is slightly dated, but location is great. Make sure you make a booking for the car parking space early as it’s limited if you are driving.
Staff were great. New management are making every effort to improve the propery and it shows. Beds were comfy, showers were nice and hot and the food in the restaurant was great value for money.
Walls were paper thin so you could literally hear the person in the next room breathing and texting.
Staff were not around for check in.
Requested parking in advanced just to be told there was none. So that caused a 2 hour ordeal to park elsewhere and pay $509 for us both to use the ski tube.
Overpriced.
Food was average at best.
it’s great
Room was spacious. Included breakfast was decent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Expensive, but walking distance to Smiggins, so that's to be expected.
Nice place to stay with family.
Very nice place for young family! Free breakfast.
We had a good time staying here.
Friendly staff and service, particularly in the restaurant. The room & bed was really comfy but unfortunately couldn’t sleep as the walls are paper thin. We could hear all of the staff conversations in the hallway at 9pm at night, all crying children, as well as the loud shower pressure of the room next door very early in the morning.
Lovely helpful staff and great meals, dinners always delicious and excellent bacon and herbed mushrooms at breakfast
Great place to stay. The staff are fantastic treat you like me of the family. The meals and service was great.
Amazing food 5 star rating, the staff were wonderful and joined us after dinner for a quiet drink around fire social distancing. Lea and her staff are so accommodating, nothing was ever too much to ask for. You can smell the freshness when you walk in the room as everything is sanitised. We stayed when the first big dump on snow fell on resort and the staff were just as excited as us. Henk and Lea organised to pick us off at Sawpit Creek and drop us off at the end of our stay which worked out perfect as the snow was too deep and you would have been stuck if you tried to stay.
