Newly Renovated Sheraton Tribeca Rooms Are Superb!
Pros:

Just spent a wonderful night in one of the new (renovated) rooms on the Club Lounge level of this great hotel. The renovation is fantastic (and still ongoing on other floors - just fyi). The color tones, the wood flooring, the Grohe dual-head shower, and the re-configured layout of the room are first class. Most importantly, the delightful and dedicated Amina Rai (Director of Front Office) and her excellent team (shout out to Ciara, Wilmer, Briana!) continue to make this property a true Soho-Tribeca gem.

Horrific!
Pros:

By far the worst Sheraton I ever stayed! In fact this should be at best a Courtyard…
Bad and rude front desk at check-in. The room we were given was more like a prison cell…extremely small with a tiny window. Never again!!

Ok standard hotel room, loud pipes or construction happening above my room.
Pros:

Affordable, not far from SoHo and Tribeca

Cons:

Don’t love staying on Canal st. Loud drilling sound above my room majority of the time. Guest next door was also loud and disruptive and had to be kicked out.

Disappointing Stay Experience
Cons:

Due to a flight cancellation, we attempted to change our stay dates in advance. The hotel advised us to contact Booking, stating they could not confirm changes themselves. Although Booking support informed us they would contact the property, this never happened.

Upon arriving in the city on January 2, we went directly to the hotel, only to be informed that our reservation had been cancelled due to a no-show on January 1, and that Booking support had never contacted the property.
Despite being aware of the situation, the hotel also did not attempt to contact us after January 1 to clarify whether we would arrive on January 2, even though that night was still part of our reservation.

As a result, we were left without accommodation upon arrival and charged for one night despite the circumstances.

Very disappointing experience and poor communication in a force majeure situation.

Great Location and Hotel, Tough Block
Pros:

The Sheraton Tribeca New York Hotel is very Bonvoy elite-friendly, with a prime location on the edge of SoHo. Rooms are nicely renovated, service is consistently friendly, and overall it’s a solid value for the area.

That said, there are a few drawbacks worth noting. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and while noise is mentioned in communications, the impact was under-communicated.

Also there is no rooftop lounge at the moment—it’s been temporarily relocated to the lobby, which is fine, but expectations should be managed more clearly. Our room on this visit was noticeably smaller than previous stays—but beautifully updated.

One other consideration: while the hotel borders on SoHo, the main entrance is on Canal Street, where there is a fair amount of vendor loitering and homelessness. It can feel a bit uncomfortable, especially when returning late at night from the subway. If that block were better managed, this hotel would rate higher.

Overall, a good stay and a great value—but we’ll probably wait until renovations are complete before rushing back.

Thoughtful Service, Spacious Room, and a Great Stay in Tribeca
Pros:

Excellent stay at the Sheraton Tribeca, even during a winter snowstorm. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and had a beautiful sunrise view over the city.
What truly stood out was the hospitality and attention to detail. A handwritten welcome note from Assistant General Manager, Cesar Cepeda and a charcuterie board waiting in the room made the experience feel personal and thoughtful from the start.
As someone who works in a service-driven luxury industry, I really appreciated the warmth, professionalism, and care shown by the staff throughout my stay. I would absolutely return.
