This was a good place for business stay but didn’t offer currency exchange and expensive if taken taxi

Checking in was quick and fast.
The hotel was going through a face-lift at the time of my stay (Painting of the exterior).
The room that was allocated to me had an extremely strong paint smell, aircon was noisy, aircon switch was hanging off the wall and the bedside lamp had a nasty stain.
I queried this with the front desk and I was moved to another room on a different floor (after 45 minutes). The gentleman who assisted me ensured that rest of my stay was a pleasant one.

Shower was sometimes cold and sometimes lukewarm...and the water pressure very low.

One staff member at breakfast...helping with frying of eggs....was ver angry and rude to guests.

Everything's was perfect, will come again and again

It was adequate and not terrible. No ice machine or bucket, (had to go to the bar for ice), and no fridge. The elevator has a strange system that does not allow you to go to any floor but the one your room is on. I was there with a relative who stayed on a different floor. Therefore the only way to get to him was to walk down the hall and use the stairs. Could not even take the elevator from his floor back to mine. Had to go to the lobby first then use my key to get to my floor. Also the rooms do not have wash cloths, only hand towels. We booked Kingsize rooms but was told when we got there, there are no kingsize standard rooms, only deluxe. They said the problem was with Expedia who falsely advertised. The rate was inexpensive but I’ve decided when I go back to Johannesburg, I’d rather try another hotel and pay a little more for better quality.

We stayed at the hotel for one night and it was a disappointing stay. The towels were dirty and had marks on it so had to use our own beach towels. The pillows were also unclean as was the bathroom, felt unhygienic.

I requested new pillow cases for the night from reception (in person) and they never came. Would not stay again and would not recommend considering the price.

The omelette was bad

Location is great! Gym is under CONSTRACTION and has only two (2) machines. The room is getting old and the curtains with a carpet are getting stained. If you pay $50-60 dollars it is fine, but no more than that. Easy walk 15-20 minutes from Sandton train station. A driver Isic available to take anyone. I went to Nelson Mandela house for 20€ one way. Spars Supermarket is around the corner! Breakfast was so so. Croissants were suggy from the last night. Breakfast is 3 out of 10. All staff/personal was nice (Oriel, John, Jones).

The shuttle service to the mall came in handy. The kitchen serves really nice food. The staff is very friendly and they made our experience at the hotel exciting and memorable.

amazing stay

The male staff in the dining area are the worst; unprofessional and they do not understand customer service. Who hired them and why? The property also charges guests for parking and their advertised gym was closed. I'm never coming back to this hotel. Mildred the cook, however, was excellent; thanks Mildred.
