Mandarin Oriental, Macau

Great location. Hv a mall and several casinos nearby. Easy to go to places. Great service. All staff are so nice. We’ve approached several days before arrival. Michelle Liew does take good care of us, arranging the transportation, checking-in and the entire stay perfectly. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental Macau. The hotel was beautiful and well maintained, their staff were amazing. They were very helpful, friendly, thoughtful, considerate and kind. They went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Mandarin Oriental Macau, and it exceeded our expectations. Short, but truly sweet.

The hardware is elegantly classic without feeling dated. We were kindly upgraded to a Corner Room with stunning dual views — the beautiful harbour and Macau Tower on one side, and the glittering golden façade of the Grand Lisboa visible even from the bathroom on the other. The welcome amenities were generous, and the turndown gift sleep mist and eye mask were a lovely touch that genuinely helped us rest well.

We also bought Heihei, the hotel’s adorable squirrel plush as a happy new addition to my growing Mandarin Oriental animal family, joining the panda, lion, and elephant.

What truly elevated the stay, though, was the people. Four team members deserve a special mention:

Forest at the front desk handled our check-in with great professionalism — efficient, attentive, and warm. A concierge in an orange suit went above and beyond when we asked how to get to MGM: he proactively offered to take us there in the hotel’s charming little orange buggy. What made it magical was the route — he drove us from the hotel entrance, through the interior passages of the property, and all the way into MGM. It was my first time experiencing anything like it, and he always welcomed us back with the warmest smile. At the pool, Steve was wonderfully warm and attentive — appearing quickly to top up our water, checking how the temperature of the soaking pool was, and making us feel genuinely looked after.

The person I most want to thank, however, is Melvin at Vida Rica. Whether at breakfast or lunch, his service was simply impeccable. I’ve dined at Michelin-starred restaurants elsewhere with far heftier price tags but none had service as attentive, proactive, and genuinely warm as Melvin’s. The moment we showed the slightest hesitation, he would appear with exactly what we needed — proactively offering drinks, helping with the oysters, bringing a steak knife when he saw us struggling with dessert. His care was extraordinary. Without exception, this was the best dining service I have ever experienced.

Out of the roughly ten Mandarin Oriental properties I’ve stayed at, this one is firmly top-notch. Refined, tranquil, and high in quality from start to finish. We will absolutely be back on our next visit to Macau.

I had a wonderful experience at the bar of Mandarin Oriental, Macau last night. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing, making it a perfect place to unwind after a long day.

A special thank you to Aubrey, Giann, Christine, and especially Juan for the warm hospitality and attentive service throughout the evening. Aubrey was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and made me feel genuinely cared for as a solo guest. Juan made one of the best Whiskey Sours I’ve had in a long time. The combination of egg white and bitters gave the cocktail a very smooth and balanced texture, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the drink.

The bar snacks were also delicious and paired perfectly with the cocktails.

I also highly recommend trying the house special cocktail, “Lucky 8” — definitely a must-try if you visit the bar.

Everything was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Thank you again to the team for making my evening so enjoyable. I will definitely return the next time I’m in Macau.

I just wrapped up an incredible stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Macau, and their food and beverage team completely stole the show!The breakfast buffet was amazing, featuring everything from fresh artisanal pastries to an excellent live egg station in a beautiful room flooded with natural light. A huge shoutout to Kristin, Melvin, and Myla from the F&B department—they were all absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always on top of keeping the food replenished, the coffee flowing, and the tables spotless.The rest of the hotel experience was just as great, with a super quick check-in and a room that was clean, quiet, and very comfortable.Whether breakfast is included in your rate or you pay the extra fee, the premium quality and outstanding service from this dining team completely justify it. I will definitely be back!

Simple but brilliant~

I’ll try to keep it short!
It was a VIP rocking out of this world experience!

After our taxi arrived at the man door, their doorman came right outside with the most biggest smile and friendliest greeting, meanwhile taking care of ALL our luggages. This was on May 7, 2026.

The check-in was smooth and professional, Meanwhile checking us in, we were welcomed right away with a complimentary wet towel and hot tea for EACH of my family member! What was surprising was we were also upgraded in terms of our room bookings as our first time staying there….. all for no charge!

Melody Ye who helped us checked in was respectful, friendly, and professional. She even personally dropped everything and brought us all up to our rooms and explained all the complimentary, facilities and services that came with our stay! It was truly VVVIP service, you would feel like a celebrity! Our Luggages followed and was brought up by a SEPARATE staff to EACH room!

The rooms were so comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully planned out. You don’t need to find where to plug your phone chargers, there’s basically a plug everywhere in the room. The water pressure was strong. The 270 degrees view was just breath taking! The complementaries and gifts as members of Mandarin Oriental were so thoughtful and warming, it just made our day!

The staff even prepared our rooms when evening hit by placing large cozy soft towels on the floor by both sides of our beds. They even placed some by the washroom sink, on the floor by the bathtub and shower Entrance. Some complimentary dessert cake and chamomile tea were also noticed and left on the bar counter by their staff to prep us for a good night sleep. The cake tasted delicious and the tea was cozy and warming. The sofa near the windows was comfortable and spacious for a good night chat and the bed and pillows were very cozy, clean and comfortable.

Here’s why I would recommend Mandarin oriental and even still come back myself..the level of professionalism and service connects where ever you go and whoever you meet in the hotel..

We did include breakfast in our bookings and here’s why I say VVVIP service. The staff next morning at their breakfast hall were patient, respectful, on their game and ready to serve and spoil you when you first step in. Melvin, Andy, Myla, and Elaine were very friendly staffs and helpful during the morning breakfast session. Freshly Chefs-made mini Portuguese egg tarts were brought to the table for us to try. They were not served during the breakfast buffet. The buffet food was delicious and had lots of varieties and cultures of food choices. Melvin took care of our tables and he even went above and beyond to help us in answering questions and getting us specific additional details such as public transportation fees and routes regarding our way around Macau.

A note to mention, Melvin heard our time constraints matter during our transportation worries in getting around the city in the morning, and volunteer to thoughtfully pass on our timing worries to the front desk, Michelle Liew and associated managers to spoil us with (complimentary) later check-out so we could keep our luggages safe, not having to bring them with us and allowed us to still come back to freshen up before heading home.

While checking out, Michelle Liew helped us all the way from settling the bill, gifting us a memorable souvenir on behalf on their hotel, to catching the correct route and shuttle buses to leave Macau. She was also patient and friendly!

Sorry for this long comment, I’m usually lazy but their service and staff were just that damn good that it makes you feel bad for leaving anyone out. A positive feedback for their hard work is the least anyone can provide.

Another side note: I left my AirPods Pro RIGHT side earphone piece there after I left and the feeling SUCKED so bad after noticing on my plane BUT the experience Mandarin Oriental extended was above and beyond!

With this being said, I just want to say: thank you to Roy Liang, Thunder Loi, Christine Wu and all the housing staff, employees and managers who helped to contact me by all means, and helping to DHL-ing the piece directly to my home.

They still take care of you even after you left!

This is by far the most extraordinary, value worthy, mind-blowing hotel stay in Macau. Services like this DEFINITELY is worth booking and staying again at Mandarin Oriental Macau, no second thoughts!

My experience at the Mandarin was absolutely excellent. The customer service from all the staff was exceptional. Exactly what you would expect from a property like the Mandarin. From the moment we arrived, Sahan and Hari were wonderful, Kaye at the front desk was so incredibly nice and helpful. Pedro provided great recommendations for my family. Kevin and Kaye followed up throughout our time there and made sure we were well taken care of. I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of service and my family really enjoyed it. We will be back.
