Good value hotel in Shanghai
Pros:

Hotel was in good condition, and staff were helpful when required. Well worth the price.

The only disappointment was the breakfast, which was no doubt fine for those used to Chinese style food but underwhelming to the average westerner. But breakfast is an optional extra so no problem.

Pros:

Worst secluded location. Very slow internet almost snail pace. Had to buy separate data card. They show free breakfast when you are shortlisting hotel but then charge you when you check out. Mistake either from hotels.com or the hotel itself. End of the day I had to pay.

Clean hotel. Exactly what was expected.
Pros:

There was always a english speaking member of the hotel staff on the front desk. The room was clean and comfortable and was exactly what you would expect. Clean rooms and okay bed with bottled water in the room daily (which is needed). Bathroom was clean and towels were changed daily. The hotel is far away from any major tourist destinations with no restaurants in walking distance. Therefore getting a taxi or a 10 minute walk to dongchang road metro was the only option.
