A gem in Stellenbosch, with a superb restaurant by any standards
Pros:

Relatively small hotel in a prime Stellenbosch location - the town doesn't exactly have one centre, but Church Street is as central as it gets, particularlly for restaurants and shops. The hotel is quite an old world feel with some delightful interior decor, but very modern facilities. Helena's restaurant is a star in its own right and well thought of by locals. The staff are wonderful and make you feel like family. Swimming pool area is wonderful to sit in both day and night. My room was beautifully furnished but again, with all modern facilities including a huge bathroom with bath, shower and twin sinks. There was quite a generous sized terrace overlooking the swimming pool area, but from previous experience, even the street facing rooms are not particularly noisy. Free parking is a great benefit in this location also (though you absolutely should tip the relevant staff generously IMO). I didn't have a car but they were very helpful about parking my friends' car while we had lunch before I checked in.

Cons:

Lots of stairs, and the "what to do if the lift gets stuck" notice in the lift didn't inspire confidence!

Good, but pricey : needs a good carpet and odour scrub
Pros:

Situationally it is perfect - right in the heart of Stellies. The front desk staff have an eye out for your arrival- valet park and deliver your car kinda telepathically. The sheets are clean and the room was good- but there is a huge bad smell that comes either from the kitchen or the carpets and that seeped into the bedroom for our entire stay. The room carpets are a bit shmeg. And it’s pricey to stay here. The other goods were the restaurant- my dinner was top notch; breakfast was good. Attentive staff again. There is a need for a little spruce at these prices though..

Понравилось абсолютно всё! Прекрасные помощницы чистоты, повары, бармены, парни на ресепшен. Невероятные, славные ребята из персонала, которые скрасили наше пребывание в этом милом городке. Все очень милые, вежливые, заботливые. Мы 100 раз обращались к ним с дурацкими просьбами и каждый раз они с большим удовольствием все выполняли, это было очень мило. Мы с подругой остались в восторге от всего. Еще был безумно красивый интерьер

Pros:

Прекрасный и заботливый персонал. Потрясающий завтрак - один из лучших за всё моё путешествие по ЮАР. Отличное расположение - самый центр города- безопасно.

Cons:

Очень маленький номер 1, он без окон, имейте ввиду. Утром слышно как готовят и накрывают завтрак… и это с 5-6 утра, но завтрак - бомба. Если на одну ночь и по хорошей цене, можно всё простить)

Utmärkt boende i centrum av. stan
Pros:

Centralt fin rum fint badrum skön säng. Poolen var fin i 39 graders värme.

Cons:

Duchdörren stängde inte ! Det kom vatten på golvet när man duchade..
