Vila Ombak Hotel

This hotel is very old , staff were good but the rooms are more suited to local standards. Also breakfast was like an army camp standard, we couldn’t eat it it looks dirty.

It’s ok however not really suited for Australian family’s.

Currently staying here. Highly recommend this place. The beautiful staff are super friendly and helpful. Room is amazing and very comfortable. Breakfast and BBQ meal are excellent. No complaints. Two pools to choose from. Walking distance to the main hub. Water sports and bicycle hire all well managed and helpful. We would come again Lynn & Reg

I stayed for two nights in the hotel. The resort is nice and very closely located on Gili T, close to the night life hot spots as well as to the sunset west side of the island. You can rent bikes and book trips. It has everything you need for some nice days on the island without being exceptional.

Air Conditioning is not enough for the room size. We had 4 Deluxe rooms. Non of them had enough cooling. We were sweating in the rooms specially in the afternoon . Location of the property is good . We ask for standing fans to compensate the cooling , which were not available.

This is my favourite hotel I’ve stayed in as part of a G Adventures tour.

The bedroom is large, light and airy with a huge bathroom. There is some nice outdoor seating too.

There are several pools which were all clean.

Check in is normally 2pm but on the day we arrived I wasn’t feeling well so didn’t do the snorkelling trip with the rest of the group. The hotel said they would try and get our room ready for 12. I was super impressed that a member of staff actually found me by the pool at 11 to say the room was ready. The hotel went over and beyond and I was really grateful.

Amazing experience! Our romantic dinner was delicious and wonderful! We recommend for couples who want to live a very good experience

We loved this resort. Clean. Ride ur bike to the front door if ur room. Great breaky eggs cooked as requested. Lovely pool. The gardens are so beautiful and relaxing to ride thru. There’s a few tiles missing in the pool and the wood boards are loose but this didn’t really affect much. Great spot.

Our pool villa was beautiful, always kept clean and well maintained.
The bathroom is a little smelly but kept fan on.
Breakfast was average

Mr Rully and Ms Tyas and the FO Team were so helpful and friendly. The service we got was amazing 10/10 service! Room was beautiful and extremely clean. Certainly will come back and highly recommend.

A truly magical and unforgettable romantic dinner on the beach. The setting was simply breathtaking — a beautifully decorated table, right by the sea, with a heart and a special message made of red petals that made the moment feel straight out of a dream.

The atmosphere was intimate and serene, perfect for a special evening. The service was flawless from start to finish, and a special thank you goes to *Andy*, who was absolutely fantastic — kind, professional, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive.

Every detail was taken care of with love and precision. An experience we’ll carry in our hearts forever. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate love in the most beautiful way.

Really bad experience. Food was the worst thing. Rooms not clean, staff is not at all professional.

Interconnecting rooms are very loud, we had next door talking with family via Zoom until after midnight one night. Need to make them more sound proof.

We had a wonderful romantic dinner at the hotel, and everything was perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, making the evening very special. Our server, Doni, was outstanding – attentive, kind, and made sure we had the best experience possible. Thank you for such a memorable night!

This is a bigger property than the front suggested with apartments and villas dottered across a big area. It has two pools and a beach. Bikes can be rented for 75 rp a day. Buffet breakfast is very good with both western and Asian foods. Wifi is good. I had a room at the back of the property. My room smelled and the aircon didn’t work. I reported it and it was quickly fixed. Room is big and massive bathroom.

I had a wonderful stay at Villa Ombak. The island of Gili is so beautiful that I decided to extend my stay, and I am truly grateful to Rully, who was incredibly professional and helpful throughout. He made everything smooth and enjoyable—what an amazing staff member!

Mornings were filled with the sound of birds, and the breakfast was well-balanced and satisfying. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool and comfortable. The pool was beautiful, and I also enjoyed playing chess and pool during my free time. The restaurant was well-run for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and everything I tried was delicious. My iced Americano was especially refreshing and perfectly made.

Overall, Villa Ombak offers a perfect combination of comfort, professionalism, and atmosphere. I am so thankful for the experience.

This was booked through a tour through an agency. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Lumbung Hut room which was amazing. There were steps down and the bathroom is outside which was unusual but a fun part of the room.

The treatments at the Spa were also fantastic. We tried to go back a second day but they book up fast so book ahead.

We enjoyed everything we ate at the restaurant, both breakfast and the dinners were delicious. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made a real effort to make our time here really special. We booked the romantic dinner on the beach. Andy our waiter for the romantic dinner was great fun and made the evening memorable and special. The food was amazing, but there was a lot of it! It was my husband's birthday whilst we were there and they made sure it was special.

Gili is a bit of a party island, but this was a calm place, easy for us to relax.

This is a really nice upmarket hotel with a large garden and spacious, quiet rooms. We originally booked two standard rooms; however, we were offered a reasonably priced upgrade to a villa with two rooms, a private pool, garden, and bicycles—which was a great experience.

In front of the hotel, there is a beautiful beach where the sea remains high and swimmable for a relatively large portion of the day, compared to other parts of the island. Everywhere on the isalnd, the rocks are exposed at low tide, making swimming impossible, here it is a bit better.

Lumbung Hut. We planned to stay for 5 days, left on the 3rd. Rooms are old and unkept. There were ants everywhere, even after telling the reception about them, the cleaning crew(crew? one teenage boy with a rag) had no knowledge of the ants and did nothing about them. Location of the hotel is great, but that is about it as far as the positives go.
