Super great time at Iberostart Waves Playa de Muro. Very good location, friendly staff and a lot of AM emitir s.
Rooms are better than expected, clean and quiet.
Food well prepared, and many choices, restaurants are big, clean and easy to access. You may enjoy the enterteiments even after dinner.

What a nice hotel staff are lovely and couldnt of done more for us so helpful, it was so we'll maintained and clean relaxing. Facilities where good, we had a lovely qiete holiday, ate loads (food was delicious with theme nights and breakfast little changes to try) took the local bus to sight see, chilled by the pool (was a tiny bit chilly in ther though they have an indoor pool) and took walks on the sandy beach (stunning views) every morning. My partner used the gym too. Definitely one to go back too we've been to Iberostar hotels before and they are one of our favourites.

I visited in half term for six nights with my husband and 13-year-old son. We had a double room with an extra bed put in it which was a nice room although they’re quite tight for three. Bathrooms lacking a bit of privacy! Aircon not very efficient and was rather warm

Location of the hotel is beautiful right by the beach . Food is very good for all inclusive , always plenty to choose from. Drinks are premium quality which are also included. Lovely restaurants, bars and entertainment. Staff are fantastic. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. Couple of things missing for me in the room were nice to have bath robes and also no tea or coffee making facilities. Overall though a great location with plenty to do in the local area. Great if you enjoy walking and cycling. Just watch out for the mosquitoes!

I stayed at Iberostar Waves Playa de Muro for six nights and wouldn’t rate it higher than 3 stars. Our booked double room was tiny and extremely hot, with barely working air conditioning. When I asked to change rooms, the alternatives either smelled damp and mouldy or required an expensive upgrade, which I reluctantly paid for. The upgraded room was slightly better and cooler. The food was another disappointment — repetitive, limited in variety, and poor in quality..

On the positive side, the location is great, right on the beach, the indoor pool is lovely, and the cleaning staff are fantastic. Overall, not worth the price or rating.

⭐★☆☆☆ Average Hotel, Not So Average Price — Disappointing Stay

We recently stayed at this hotel and were left very disappointed. While the property looks appealing at first glance, the experience did not live up to expectations or the price paid.

1. Outdoor Smoking Area

The smoking area is located right outside the main entrance to the dining hall — a terrible first impression for non-smoking guests. Smoke drifts up to the rooms with balconies, making it unpleasant to sit outside or leave windows open.

2. Room Issues

TV remote didn’t work.

Slippers and bathrobes were missing despite being listed as included. Requested twice via the app — delivered on our fourth day.

No kettle, tea, or coffee provided initially. After asking multiple times, we finally received a kettle, but no cups or tea bags. Asked guest service to provide otherwise what is the point of just a kettle.

Requested a iron/iron board. Only Iron arrived two days later after second request.

Bathroom sink was partially blocked and the shower leaked. After reporting it, a technician did nothing, but caused a new leak under the sink.

We were woken at 8:30 a.m. twice by staff entering for maintenance — once for “technical service” and another time to replace a TV remote. Completely unacceptable during a holiday stay. We didn't request the maintenance for the early wake up call, still have not received a reply about this!

Constant corridor noise in the mornings disturbed sleep.

Pillows were flat and uncomfortable.

We booked a double bed but received two singles that slid apart. After complaints, we finally got a mattress topper on day 3 of 6.

3. Dining Experience

Breakfast was the highlight — excellent variety and quality.

Lunch and dinner were average, limited in selection. Pasta options were particularly poor.

Themed nights (Chinese & Mexican) were disappointing.

Service was slow, especially for drinks.

4. Bar Service

Staff were often inattentive, and on several occasions, drinks were incorrect. Waiting times were inconsistent.

5. Facilities & Amenities

“Heated pool” was not heated.

Gym jacuzzi/hot tub was cold and then out of service.

“Hot plunge” was lukewarm.

Poor signage around “lounge sun beds” in the pool area. We were abruptly woken by a security guard due to unclear rules — handled very poorly.

6. General Maintenance & Presentation

Signage throughout the hotel is confusing and unhelpful. The property feels poorly maintained in many areas.

7. Spa

The only redeeming feature. We both had excellent massages — professional and relaxing.

8. Final Day

On our last evening, Latecia mentioned a “gift” had been sent to our room to apologise for the many issues — it never arrived. Another example of over-promising and under-delivering.
We were repeatedly asked what the hotel could do to improve our stay, but these gestures came too late. Exceptional service should come proactively, not after repeated complaints.

We stayed at Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa last year — it outshines this hotel in every possible way. Sadly, we wouldn’t return or recommend this one.

David was wonderful at reception as was Marina. Always a queue at reception I think due to the IT but very personal service when speaking to the reception staff.
Bridgette was friendly and funny at the beach bar where we visited at the end of our beach days for a pre-dinner catch up.
The resort is typical of the area, but the beds are not really comfortable- and the cover does not even reach your chest. The see through bathroom doors were not so fab- and they also have these in the public rest rooms too!
We overlooked the road which was fine as the noise did not permeate the sliding doors- although the hotel doors could do with slow closers.
It is not in the hotel blurb but they do have a laundry which we would have used if we knew about it previously.
The aircon was not efficient and the shower leaked so much! We had a leak from the ceiling too but this was sorted very quickly by the brilliant chamber maid.
The food in the hotel is amazing- the fresh cooked food, salads were fantastic with the theme nights not respecting our waistlines! 😀It would have been nice to be shown to a table but the waiting staff never stop moving! The chefs cooking are friendly and welcoming. We stayed half board.
The entertainment at the bar at the front of the hotel was excellent in that my dad could have a sing along.
The hotel states that it has a beach

This is our 2nd visit and it’s a fabulous hotel. The staff are all very helpful, they work very hard from cleaning the rooms to serving at the bar - you can not fault the staff.

All the areas are kept very clean: rooms, pool area , restaurant etc

We love the location of the hotel, being able to sit by the pool or go for a sea swim or walk along the beach.

Evenings were easy to get buses into Alcudia bay and Alcudia old town.

With one of us a a vegetarian there was always an amazing selection of salads , I just wished that the main dishes were labelled better as often it was many clear if meat or vegetarian.

There is a good selection of eating areas such as food truck for simple (yet good food) and the lunch restaurant with great sea views. The main dining room for breakfast and dinner did get very busy, however there was always plenty of food

The healthy corner by the pool was fabulous with a selection of wraps, poke bowls and matcha - which was all included if you are all inclusive.

We stayed as a couple but if you have children there is so much for them to do with the water dome, water sprays, play park and the children’s activity groups.

I would recommend this for any family.
This is a family beach front hotel with basic rooms that offers surprisingly quiet accommodation and incredible food.

Im Hotel sind viele gute Ansätze erkennbar, die jedoch leider nicht durchgehend auf gleich hohem Niveau gehalten werden. Für die Kleinsten stehen beispielsweise sogenannte Kids Corner zur Verfügung, die jedoch häufig nicht sorgfältig gepflegt werden (z. B. eine lose Eingangstür, Unordnung oder beschädigtes Spielzeug).
Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine grosse Auswahl, ist jedoch nur teilweise abwechslungsreich – am reichhaltigsten an Samstagen.
Das eher kleine Zimmer (mit defekter Schranktür) wurde leider nur unzureichend gereinigt (Sand und Haare auf dem Boden).
Positiv hervorzuheben sind die Strandnähe, die Aktivitäten im und rund um den Pool sowie das freundliche Personal.

Four Star hotel with a Five Star location, Five Star setting and grounds and Five Star staff!!! All the staff were very hard working, conscientious and always warm, friendly, helpful and polite. The all inclusive food and drinks were really great and what you'd expect for a good iberostar hotel. Another highlight for us was the evenings we spent listening to the professional musicians who performed on most nights at the front of the hotel, lovely atmosphere too 💃🕺🥂. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL MEMORABLE HOLIDAY EVERYONE 🙏

Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, fun entertainment, amazing pools, yummy food & drinks. Cannot fault it at all. Only stayed for 3 nights but wish it was longer. Will definitely be going back. Thank you to everyone for making our stay such fun

Honestly could not fault this hotel one bit. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is INCREDIBLE!! And so delicious. The staff are all super friendly and polite. Pools are wonderful for all ages, beach right next to the hotel if you want a beach day or just go have a paddle and the entertainment in the evening was lovely for families. We are so sad to be home but we will be back next year for definite. We’ve found our special place to holiday and can’t wait to come back to you guys next year. Thankyou for making our holiday so special!

Ausserordentlich schöne Lage des Tennisplatzes, der Anlage allg sowie des Frühstücksbuffets am Meer. Personal super freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufgestellt. Leider hatten wir ein wenig Pech mit unserem Zimmer. Es riecht sehr nach Schimmel, da viel Wasser aus der Dusche läuft und unter die Platten und Wand versickert. Ebenfalls hatten wir sehr viele kleine Ameisen im Zimmer, was grundsätzlich nicht schlimm ist aber als ich die letzten zwei Nächte mehrmals von diesen krabbelnden Tierchen auf meiner Haut geweckt wurde, fand ich es nicht mehr so prickelnd. Nichts desto trotz eine schöne Anlage und die Ameisen und den Schimmel kann man eliminieren😉

Perfektes Hotel, wenn man mit Kindern reist!

Positive aspect: good restaurant with quality food.
- Reception for checkin was very good, with highlight to Juliana attendance.
Points to improve:
- no snacks/food option between breakfast and lunch time
- in the restaurant could have a reserved adults only space
- the entertainment is fully directed to children.

Terrible room over looking service yard, constant noise. Rubbish entertainment, poor food would not stay again if it was free.

What a fantastic experience for my 12 year old daughter and I. If you’re anything like me and you’re reading this review you’re either considering this hotel or you’ve already booked. If you’ve booked then you’ve made a great decision and if you haven’t then I’d say book now! Firstly it’s so family orientated which is what we wanted - virtually all families with children were staying. The staff are outstanding - from the check in experience through to the cleaning staff and the chefs and the entertainment staff - so friendly and accommodating for anything you need. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We went all inclusive and what a great decision - the buffet is delicious and varied with different options each day and there’s always so many staff around for anything you need - drinks are mainly table service which is great throughout the whole day and night and if you want to go to the bar yourself you can and there is never a queue as they have so many staff! The hotel is so safe as well and I felt completely comfortable with my daughter going up to the room herself to get things for example and coming back down to the pool or beach. The location is exceptional - right on the beach with direct access (less than one minute from pool to beach) and Muro beach is stunning with shallow, beautifully clear water. The hotel room was great, a lovely powerful shower and exceptionally clean and the bed was comfy and we had a partial sea view which was great. The pool areas were great with a separate children’s only pool with an inflatable which my daughter loved. Yes some people reserve sunbeds early but we went to breakfast every day and then went down to the pool after that and we could always get two sunbeds together with no problem. Finally the meal times are great and allow so much flexibility - 3 hour windows for breakfast, lunch and dinner! If you’re a family and you want a beautiful and relaxing and stress free holiday experience then come here!! If you’re a couple or a family wanting more of an a la carte experience then maybe go for the sister hotel next door Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village which also gets fantastic reviews. Take a bow Iberostar Waves Playa de Muro for giving my daughter and I an experience we’ll remember forever.

Really wanted to like this hotel but absolutely not worth the money. I paid around $500 USD per night for a very small room with just breakfast included. I would have expected more from both the room and the hotel/service.

The room: small, lots of bugs/ants, musty smell, uncomfortable bed, clogged sink, no hooks to hang towels.

The hotel: i can tell they try to make it a good experience but it also fell flat: the pool water is very cold, and the floor is dirty with leaves. Limited pool chairs that get “reserved” and no beach chairs included. Limited towel service and a hefty deposit per towel.

The worst part: on our last night the lights in our room would randomly turn on, waking up my entire family including our baby. This happened 4-5x at all hours of the night from 12-5 am. It was absolutely maddening and unacceptable. What made it worse is when we told the front the concierge yelled at us “what do you want me to do?!” No apology or offer to credit refund or make things right. So disappointed. Do not recommend this hotel.
