The Old Imperial Hotel Youghal

Lovely staff and quick check in when we arrived. The room was spacious and clean, however, the bathroom could have been cleaner. Run down looking and it was obvious it had not been cleaned properly, hairs on the floor and streak marks on the bath. Had dinner in the hotel that evening, the food was lovely, but we were asked to leave before our time was up as they wanted then table (we were told that we would have one hour , forty five minutes). We had breakfast in the hotel the next morning, but it was really disappointing, the bacon and pudding were sour and inedible. Overall, the hotel Is a bit dated and run down and in need of a good freshen up, would probably stay there again, but would definitely not have breakfast.

Lovely hotel. Not a huge hotel by no means but comfortable and friendly and the bed was very comfortable. A powerful shower in the morning which was a great way to start the day. Hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas with tasteful garlands and lighting. Will stay again.

Great little hotel. We didn’t get to stay long, but the staff was great! Our room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent! The staff was all very nice and accommodating.

Comfortable, Clean rooms with amenities. Food 5 stars, delicious. Pub is definitely Irish and has a great atmosphere.

Bathroom was very filthy. Shaving hairs around sink. Wall speckled with old dirt. Build up of dust around baseboards & toilet papers ledges & any ledges we’re very neglected!
Cleanliness needs to be upgraded tremendously!!!

Room was very comfortable. Food choice was excellent. Staff very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

The rooms are large and well equipped. The bar area is authentic with wood panelling throughout. The adjoining dining area is small but we were accommodated in a very spacious and comfortable upstairs room.

Property had a lovely feel to it. Was very homely. The staff were super kind and helpful

Friendly and helpful staff, nice food. I felt that the choice for breakfast in relation to fruit, yogurts and breads could be improved on. Great location and parking facilities.

The breakfast portions were very small however dinner delicious

Great water pressure and hot water!!!!! We drove in from Dublin via quite a few stops and this was perfectly situated for our needs. Town is adorable. Ate dinner and had a pint of the bars own lager w it. Was great food. My mom said best steak ever.

Once again I received a great welcome from the man at reception. I had a lovely overnight stay, bed comfy, room cozy and warm, no outside noise....... unfortunately the tv wasn’t working but once I mentioned it at checkout, I received a reduction in my rate and it was promptly recorded for the maintenance guys. I would return without hesitation.

Visit to Ireland for family wedding which was quite local to the hotel. Easy and quick check in, with a free upgrade due to wife's medical condition. Paul was helpful and accomodating throughout the stay. Room was spacious, modern and clean with good ammenities all of which were in good working order. Cleaning staff efficent and helpful.
Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Evening meal was even better. I would without hesitation recommend the fish chowder starter and beef feather blade main course - wow.
Will be coming bcak without a shadow of a doubt.

Food was fabulous. Room was spacious and bright but front rooms had all noise from the street. The choice was close the windows & heat was unreal or open them & don't sleep. Otherwise everything was lovely.
