An absolute MUST if you’re staying in Glasgow
Pros:

I stay here regularly for business. I have been coming here for at least eight years now and every time it never fails to wow me. From the concierge service carrying my bags in from the car to the reception desk being super helpful and friendly. This time in particular has been outstanding. I arrived at 4 pm and the concierge walked over to my car to greet me and carry my bags into the reception for me. Check-in was smooth, easy and super friendly. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. I have travelled around the world and stayed in many many hotels all around the world and this is up there with one of the best hotels and staff I have ever come across. It’s the small things that makes such a big difference the cold water in the fridge in the gym, the access to the beautiful spa, the bedrooms are always Immaculate and the food. Wow, the food. Tonight I was served by Sam he was a phenomenal waiter who knew the menu inside out and gave recommendations for accompanying drinks. He asked questions regarding my food preferences and tastes. This then enabled him to make recommendations to suit what he thought I would like which by the way was absolutely outstanding. I have eaten in Michelin star restaurants that have not tasted half as good as this food does here. It is exceptional. Sam was friendly and chatty. Nothing seemed rushed or that he was trying to move onto the next table. As a solo traveller somebody that works away and sits on her own a lot at restaurants it was lovely to have a genuine conversation with somebody. He is an absolute credit to this Hotel and although he isn’t on shift tomorrow when I am here again, he said he was going to leave his dessert recommendations and paired wines written down behind the bar for me to remember tomorrow as I was too full tonight to have a desert. Again time and time again, I am more impressed with the level of service and care that goes into looking after guests here at this hotel Genuinely, nothing compares. Thank you so much Blythswood for always being so accommodating.

Fabulous pre Christmas chill out stay
Pros:

My partner and I had a wonderful nights stay at this hotel a couple of weekends before Christmas to celebrate his birthday.

Our room was directly above reception and the main entrance overlooking Blythswood Square gardens. We had full size floor to ceiling windows and arm chairs where you could sit and watch the world (and rain) go by in complete cosy comfort. The bed was huge and super comfy. There was a bath between the bedroom and shower room where you could relax and watch tv from. I enjoyed a soak after breakfast the next day. The room was very spacious and felt luxurious in all fittings and fixtures.

Complimentary mini bar and great coffee machine were lovely touches.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant and excellent service from the staff there before being truly pampered experiencing all the different treats in the spa. The spa was busy but not overcrowded and got quieter as the night progressed. The snow shower was a fun, unique attraction.

Breakfast was delicious, plentiful choice and well organised. We both ordered cooked freshly prepared dishes which were excellent. Again service was brilliant.

Hopefully we will be back next December

Getting to speak to anyone at the spa is mission impossible.
Pros:

The Blythswood Spa seems incapable of picking up a telephone. This is not a one-off thing. We have visited several times over the past 10 years, but actually getting to speak to someone is almost impossible. We would not ally book online but a voucher code we have is not working so need to speak to someone to resolve it. Tried at different times and through different channels but no joy. Such frustrating customer service.

Nice enough hotel, wouldnt pay the money again
Pros:

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, lovely breakfast

Cons:

Spa was far too busy, only 6 beds. At breakfast waited over 35 mins before getting served. And over 20 mins to get a tea or coffee, online scan qr code didnt work for room service,

Spend alot off money and no sky tv etc. Stayed lots other hotels in glasgow which are alot cheaper which has it.

Extremely disappointing and over priced!!!
Cons:

I booked 2 x King Premium Rooms, for ourselves and our friends who we were treating as a special birthday....Room 23 was so much bigger, and had double sinks and a huge shower compared to Room 106 which was much smaller, with one sink and much smaller shower - not sure how they can be sold for the same price......
The Bar and Breakfast Service was very poor.....We had to ask someone to take our drinks order, which then came wrong, and the young lad assured us they were correct, which was extremely rude to question the guest when we know the difference between Gin & Vodka!!!......We then had friends arriving to have a drink with us before heading out for Dinner, again I had to go and ask someone to take our drink order, and from then we waited a further 40 mins before drinks arrived...needless to say we went elsewhere for another!!!!.....Breakfast was the same, we were kept waiting for so long before being shown to a table, then sometime before our hot drinks order was taken, which again was so slow before arriving....by which time no-one had asked us for our breakfast order, so yet again I shouted someone over to take order....for the prices charged, the service is totally unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel, nor will I return...
