Cleaned the room one day but didn’t replace shampoo or conditioner

Decent price, friendly staff, the room was clean and reasonably quiet. Breakfast included was a bonus!

Pictures on website do not match rooms. Very deceiving.

I went to check in and chose to not stay there. I did not feel safe with the people hanging around the area, as well as with the group that was at the check in. I would never ever book this place and neither should alot of other people.

Check in was very slow

Room wasnt cleaned prior to check in (dusty, dirty used towels, water on bathroom walls and dirty shower curtain, dirt coming off underside of countertop, flys buzzing around). Hot tub and pool covered in scum and physical dirt on bottom. Sauna is actually a steam room and was also visibly dirty.

The rooms were subpar, the food was disgusting and the pool is NASTY!!

Room was good

- [ ] Had to use my cell phone to call the front desk as the telephone was not working.
- [ ] Explained to Ali that the air conditioner would not turn on. He said he’d be up in five minutes. Which he was. He went and reset the breaker that was located in a different room. Assuming a mechanical room. Air conditioner seems working well now.
- [ ] Later the AC stopped and was just blowing air. Lucky we had a window to open.
- [ ] The room was pleasantly cool enough.
- [ ] Bed nice and comfortable.
- [ ] No floor plan posted anywhere. Should at least be in the room showing emergency exits, alarms and extinguishers. Not sure if I just missed it.
- [ ] No fire escape plan. Did not see any indication of the emergency exit in hall.
- [ ] I’m sure there were there but I didn’t notice any fire extinguishers.
- [ ] A sign not seen is useless. The sign for the ice machine was flat on the wall. Not visible from either end of the hall. A hanging sign over the ice machine would be more visible and useful. Much like the sign for the breakfast room.
- [ ] Was a menu for the neighbouring restaurant, that was nice.
- [ ] Breakfast eggs, just ok, sausages undercooked and funny spice, potatoes were overcooked and tasted bad.
- [ ] Had real plates and bowls, very good.
- [ ] Utensils were poor plastic but not unlike most other places I have stayed.
- [ ] Hot water dispenser extremely slow. Took nearly a minute to fill my large mug. Did it in two trips. .

Requested extra pillows but never received them.
Fridge was new but looked horrible as the packaging film was not removed, but tattered and picked at. Floor was dirty first and second night.
Was not impressed with this stay

The property was nothing like the photos shown. The area was super sketchy, had to leave the property to get to our room. The room felt and looks gross, the guy tweaking out outside was an added bonus! Would not recommend or go back :/

Enjoyed the breakfast and use of the pool. Would of liked the pool to have been open earlier

The photos are VERY misleading. I think they may have renovated a couple of the rooms & took photos of those but left the rest as they were 40 years ago. The bathroom (toilet & tub) had been redone recently & it was nice, but the sink was straight outta the 70’s. The faucet is so short that the water runs down the edge of the sink so it’s very difficult to wash your hands & the drain can’t handle the direct water flow so it backs up, leaving a pool of toothpaste & spit when you brush your teeth. The carpet was filthy & very old & the chair in the corner had all kinds of stains on it. Although the hotel room is non-smoking now, the stench of decades of stale smoke smacks you in the face as soon as you open the door.
The bed, however, was comfortable & the sheets were clean. The price was low (which admittedly should have clued us in, but again, those photos are misleading.) I wouldn’t stay here again or suggest it to anyone else, but my husband & I were looking for a quiet place to sleep while our son celebrated his 18th birthday at our house with his friends & we got what we went there for… the hotel was very quiet & we both slept fine.
