Pros:

The hotel was so lovely! We had a great time and it was super close to the city centre of a Citudella. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Olivia who provided us with amazing beach and restaurant recommendations.

Lovely Hotel & Staff - Very Peaceful
Pros:

Just back after a week staying here in one of the one bedroom suites. Very clean place -you always see people cleaning, gardening etc. The gardens and pools are lovely and well cared for. The staff are lovely and very very helpful. The majority of guests were either Spanish, French, German or Italian. Not many brits. This showed in the food available in the restaurant. It was very targeted towards a Mediterranean diet.

A couple of things to highlight - the pools were FREEZING. I appreciate it was early October but even if they were heated slightly. They were just too cold and unfortunately because of that I didnt actually swim - just braved it up to my waist. Even my son who loves water said they were too cold. A few other people commented on that too when we were there.

When we were dropped off at the reception on arrival with the other guests, we waited in a queue to check in, only for then to be told that the reception for the suites was further up the road. The main reception was just for the hotel rooms. Would be good if that was highlighted before arrival.

However, even with these comments, the hotel was lovely, beautiful views from the cliff tops and very quiet. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Pros:

Lovely hotel in a great position.
Lovely swimming pool area and close to the beach which is what we wanted.
Entertainment was limited at this time of the year. (October)
Stayed half board and breakfasts were exceptional, dinner good choices but disappointed that many hot side dishes were lukewarm.
Lovely staff and very helpful

OK holiday
Pros:

We upgraded to a Deluxe room which had recently been refurbished. It was ok, apart from the tv. No English channels - mainly Spanish, French and German. I know you don’t go on holiday to watch TV - but it would have been nice to at least seen the news. When asked about this, they eventually sent someone to look at the TV and we could get CNN!

The hotel mainly catered for Spanish and French, the English were in the minority,

The hotel itself is fine, but the area round about very quiet. We don’t like anywhere overly busy, but there was nothing nearby to go to in the evening. The hotel entertainment was ok when we watched a couple of evenings.

The food in the restaurant was fine - not outstanding but we always found something to eat.

We had some nice walks nearby, including one to Ciutadella , which was interesting.
To summarise -would we go back - no.

If you want a really relaxing break away from everything this will be fine.

Staff could not be more helpful!
Pros:

This hotel's most valuable asset is the staff—they seem delighted to help you have a great stay and are super helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and unproblematic. The room was spacious, comfortable, private, and very clean. It is a peaceful resort, very close to Santandria beach and a 10-minute walk to the most picturesque of small beaches at Sa Caleta. The two pools are clean and large enough for a good swim. The buffet restaurant provided a huge variety of goodies (although I would have preferred slightly more reliable labelling). I asked for gluten-free toast at breakfast and was provided a whole tray of gluten-free products, so I felt looked after. Nearby Ciutadella is good to explore, with some terrific little art shops, and I recommend the museum at Mahon for a fascinating trip through the history of Menorca.

Great hotel, lovely rooms
Pros:

The hotel is lovely, gorgeous pool and lovely rooms.
I have 1 issues however, the food was cold, the only food that was piping hot was food that was cooked on the grill. Small matter but hot food is important.

A hotel with issues
Pros:

Stayed here for 10 days, nice hotel but it has issues. We stayed in block 2, on day 1 we reported that the lift didn’t work. Okay we get technician, clients carrying suitcases up 3 floors, parents with push chairs and babies struggling, old people having to climb stairs. I reported it a further 4 times and on day 10 it was never repaired!

Breakfast was good, but dinner oh my word. The hot food was put out pre 7 o’clock and was cold then, nobody ate the chips and that says everything. There was so much choice but the quality was spoiled by it being cold.

It’s a nice hotel, good location, friendly staff and very clean. However it has its issues which spoilt our total enjoyment!

Had a great 10-day solo holiday!
Pros:

I’d like to thank Alexandra for going out of her way to help me, she booked me a nail appointment in the nearest city and shared useful resources and suggestions for my next trip to Cala en Porter! I was very impressed with her customer service and overall she is a lovely lady.

The hotel itself was great: lovely views, two nice pools, comfortable common areas, hammocks, and beautiful gardens. The gym is well-equipped – maybe not everything you’d want, but still very good for keeping up with training.

The location is excellent, close to two beautiful beaches and some really nice restaurants. I stayed for 10 days and would definitely return.

My room was very comfortable, the daily cleaning service was excellent, and the buffet food was also very good.

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay: may come back sometime in the future
Pros:

Everything about the hotel was good- well laid out accommodation with only two or three flights of stars to climb plus a lift if you need it.
The food was brilliant : we stay for half board, and the choice and quality of food was excellent together with great service from the friendly staff

Great Holiday!
Pros:

My wife and I have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel.

Not much to complain about.

We had a nice room on the ground floor, with a massive bed. Only a short distance from the huge swimming pool. The decor was in need of a slight touch up in places, but this is to be expected at the end of the season. We chose not to use the safety deposit box as it wasn't bolted to the wall. I could've raised this as an issue, but chose not to bother the staff, so can't really complain.

The food at breakfast and dinner was great, with quite a wide selection, and different themes each night. Only negative bit of feedback I would give is that there wasn't enough labelling of dishes, so it was difficult to tell what contained gluten, or milk, two things I avoid.

Everything in this hotel was spotlessly clean, and the staff work extremely hard, some of whom appeared to be working every waking hour. Returning to the UK after a week in Spain is always a stark reminder of just how poor customer service is in our country. I really do hope the Spanish retain their high standards when it comes to hospitality.

There was a good mix of nationalities staying at this hotel, English, French, Italian, German.

The location is good, only a 30 minute walk to the beautiful town of Ciutadella, or you can catch a bus from the top of the road. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bus drivers spoke English, so there was no need to embarrass myself with my basic Spanish. They don't take card payments though, so make sure you have cash on you!

This was our first visit to Menorca and overall, after visiting all the other balearics, I think this island is my favourite, in terms of beaches, roads, the people, and the overall feel of the place. I would recommend renting a car in order to see as much as possible.

Great holiday
Pros:

Lovely hotel been several times over the years very clean, friendly helpful staff, had a bit of trouble with the safe the staff were prompt patient, helpful and sorted the issue paid a bit extra for the room which was well appointed coffee machine, kettle, beach towels provided. Lovely pools and plenty of sun beds in September. Great location two lovely beaches close by and old moorish town ten minutes bus ride away. Went half board food and choice generally great. Only slightly issue was that the hot plate food was not always hot enough.

Outstanding hotel
Pros:

From the moment we arrived , we were warmly greeted by mark and Ulysses, whose hospitality and attention to detail made us feel instantly at home. We stayed in a one bedroom suite 4009 within Prinsotel club, it was beautiful, tastefully decorated , comfortable and impeccably maintained .
The cleanliness throughout our stay was second to none , with every detail carefully attended to by all staff from their areas . The food was plentiful, freshly cooked and consistently of a high standard and always served with a smile from the waiters to the chefs .
The location is outstanding , surrounded by natural beauty with high end facilities which were maintained to a high level . It was refreshing to find there were no sun bed wars !! Plenty of space for all and all guests respectful of each other.
Prinsotel La caleta truly delivers on its promise of quality , comfort and relaxation . Well done to entire team for creating such a fantastic establishment in such a stunning setting .

Pros:

Our 5th visit to this wonderful place,

The staff are exceptional, each and every one of them. From the bar staff to the groundsman to the cleaners they all do a wonderful job
I have to mention Gonzallo,Marc,Ulysses and Rossa, I can’t thank them enough for making our stay such a lovely experience

The hotel is located a short bus ride from the beautiful town of Ciutadella and a short walk to two small but very charming beaches.

The gardens and pool areas of the hotel are immaculately kept, giving an aura of total serenity.

The food at the hotel is excellent, the Breakfast is a wide ranging buffet style but also offers fresh coffee and omelettes ,fried eggs pancakes etc freshly cooked in front of you.

We ate at the pool bar( salt&co) and Picco one of the onsite restaurants.
As well as serving lovely food Picco has a lovely ambience in the evenings.

We upgraded to a suite it had small terrace facing the smaller pool, the room was modern and has recently been renovated to a very high standard.

I can’t wait return and do it all again

Overall lovely hotel with a few tweaks.
Pros:

Just returned from a week’s stay, overall a lovely hotel and holiday, would definitely recommend but just a few things we’d ideally change. We stayed in a twin room on room only basis.

The room was clean but could probably do with a bit of a touch up in places. We were in building 2 so other buildings may have been renovated more recently but can only speak from experience. The room was small but what we chosen/paid for, and had a massive bed which was great. We did have adjoining door which didn’t cause problems but could’ve and was a little disconcerting. We had No balcony which at first wasn’t happy with (this was probably in the description and an oversight on my part) but the terrace/veranda actually turned out to be quite nice and was private (despite hedges being cut mid week), French doors had a dodgy lock which was a little annoying

Not enough working/accessible plug sockets. One on each side of the bed but one didn’t work, one behind the tv but would mean unplugging and one in the bathroom which isn’t great for heated appliances as it’s next to the sink. With 2 phones, headphones, hairdryer and straighteners it was a pain having to keep swapping

The pool area was nice, we only went to the bigger of the two pools (by the Salt & co bar/restaurant). Getting a sun bed was nice a problem but we were always up quite early, the pool area was quiet and relaxed. There is free access to towels by the pool which can be changed once a day, we didn’t know this so brought our own but was a nice a surprise as it meant we could have 2 each or leave ours to dry.

Food in the pool bar was really nice, we ate there 4 times for lunch, service was great every time (although some of the staff were a little frosty). Drinks were great and good value for money, cocktails were made fresh and really nice! We had takeaway from Pico which was really disappointing, obviously not sure what it would be like to sit in but we really didn’t enjoy it.

We only tried 3 restaurants nearby, 2 of which would recommend booking in advance for an outside table/one with a view but the walk into ciutadella isn’t far and taxis aren’t expensive. We wish we’d done more research on where to eat and planned in advance but managed to have 4 really nice meals out during the week. The bar on the beach (“Hopi”) was great for evening drinks and lunch. Although there isn’t a massive amount nearby, the location of the hotel is beautiful and there are 2 lovely beaches which are only a short walk out of the hotel.

There was entertainment each night which isn’t a massive factor for us but was good and nice to have in the background when we returned from our evening meal and had a drink by the bar.

The reception staff were always very friendly and helpful, both at check in and if we had any queries. A nice gentlemen recommended us somewhere to eat in town which turned out to be lovely so we were grateful for that.

Great hotel, great location
Pros:

The hotel is lovely, the swimming pool is very nice and has a child-friendly section. The beds and pillows are comfy. The breakfast is great with a wide selection of food. Staff is nice and helpful. Our only reservation was the duffer for dinner. Overall a very pleasant stay. The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to visit Ciutadella or the nearby coves of Turquetta, Macarella etc.
