Anchorage Hotel

Stayed ere for xmas with a coach trip 23rd dec to 27th.the room was ok shower ok. Entertainment was good each nite there was nothing 2 do in the day thought they would have had bingo but on boxing day 1 of the coach drivers done it
The food was not good at all and cottage pie or fish chicken but the xmas dinner was lovely staff lovely expecially christina she was very nice .we wouldnt go bk to this hotel again only good thing to say about it that it was lovely and warm .

Overall good experience and value for money. Staff were lovely. Cleanliness good on the whole but the carpet in our bedroom was very stained.

What a fabulous Festive Afternoon tea with the family to celebrate our mums 94th Birthday. We had a wonderful tea with prosecco, scones, plus lots of other lovely savouries and sweets. Thank you to the hotel and the thoughtful and attentive staff for such a memorable birthday for mum.

The team looked after my party in a quiet and efficient manner overall. Room was clean and recently refurbished. Was amazed that I had no noise pollution despite being immediately next to the Lift! Food for my event was excellent and served efficiently. Well done team Anchorage!

Great stay ,brilliant staff good food and cosy room well done to you all will be back ,shame the steam room wasn't working but otherwise fantastic spa big 👍

Excellent staff very helpful and accommodating, extra mention for Daisy big thank you, very warm welcome and helped us to the Spa which was fantastic and relaxing.
Meals are good and the self service buffet was delicious well done the chief 👌, Rooms are very clean and well stocked with teas & coffees .
Will definitely be back well done all keep up the good work and again Thanks all of you for making our stay very enjoyable .

We returned to this hotel for a second 2 night stay. We are returning again before Christmas.
Excellent value.

My friends and myself have just spent the weekend at this hotel taking advantage of their £45 full board package. We had a wonderful time. Our room was lovely, the staff were polite and helpful and we enjoyed lovely food. We also took advantage of the sauna, jacuzzi and my brave friend swam in the outdoor pool. We enjoyed entertainment every evening. Thank you to all the staff and Daisy the Assistant Manager. Looking forward to my return in January. Well done.

Food was all good buffet breakfast was really good as much ad you cam eat filled us up till dinner time
Spa facilities wre very good and very quiet which was nice had a great couple of days !

Had a great stay with a coach trip (Leons) as others have said, maybe a little dated in the rooms but really clean and spacious. Plenty of cupboard and drawer space.
Food was very good, breakfast buffet with everything you could want.
Evening meal , although not a huge menu we found something every night that we thoroughly enjoyed and service was excellent.
My hairdryer broke and I phoned Reception and had one bought to my door in less than 5 minutes.
Will definitely return, well done all staff

As a gift for my 24th birthday I had a voucher for a rejuvenating facial with a cream tea and 2 hours spa access. Katie welcomed me at reception and gave me a tour round the spa. She explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable with the space.

The cream tea was delish with a generous helping of cream (the best bit)!!

The facial was so relaxing, Katie explained each product to me and the benefits of it for my skin. I would recommend her as a beauty therapist to anyone. Her kindness and professionalism made my experience a 10/10 ❤️🫶🏻

The spa is clean and modern and I had some much needed me time

Great value for money needs renovation but still very homely. Good location and great entertainment hot tub was nice touch.

Lovely staff, really friendly, excellent food, really good portions, nice room with bath and hairdryer and comfy bed, entertainment and bar with sensible prices and happy hour. Cafe as well.

We wanted a local hotel stay to celebrate a special birthday for my partner who is not in the best of health. We were not able to travel far so booked here as it is very close to my home. We thought it offered very good value for money and we hope to return soon. It is a lovely location close to the parks and downs.

This hotel is great value for money.
It is a little older, but found everything really clean.
We went for the buffet meals over the a la carte, and it was lovely.
Particularly enjoyed the sauna, and the massive jacket potatoes at lunch.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is good value, the bed was comfy and was in an ideal location to visit our friends in Babbacombe 😊

A warm welcome and probably the best value breakfast anywhere we have ever stayed!! The hotel is a little tired in some communal areas but the room and beds comfortable.

Very dog friendly with welcoming staff. A great location for walks on the doorstep. Our room was in need of a refurb but I think they are working their way around the hotel doing this at the moment. Nice to be able to use the jacuzzi and what food we did eat in the hotel was good.

Hotel looked ok from the outside hen we arrived, but went to book in and was given a room which was dirty and carpet was all broken, chairs were full of dust and needed cleaning. Bed looked clean, but the bathroom needed a lot of attention... no glasses for your toothbrush and toothpaste, plus there was a shower which was leaking.
The room needed a thorough cleaning.
The food .... Breakfast was not to bad, cereal, toast, juice, and some bacon, sausage,beans or tomatoes, fried egg, scrambled egg, hash browns, but when it cam to evening meal absolutely terrible.
No taste to anything, fish every night or one type of meat but only one slice. No boiled pots either chips or toasties. We went on a turkey and tinsel break, supposed to have had Xmas Dinner, we had one slice of turkey, one pig in blanket without the bacon, raw cabbage, cauliflower cheese which was not cooked and roast pots with gravy... disgusting, ther was no end of complaints. Would definitely not be returning. Every evening meal was problem, whoever the chef was needed to learn how to cook and learn about hygiene, the way he was dressed was not what a chef would wear, no hairnet, no gloves, tattoos all up hs arms not at all what you want to see when you are being served a meal.
The bar staff were really lovely, just s shame about the rest of the hotel.
