I am yet to stay at Hyatt Hotel with such a lovely decor and a warm liberated atmosphere. It is spacious yet very homely. A home away from home with the splendid grandeur of a Caribbean experience.
breafast was great
From arriving at the hotel, my vacation mood was in high gear! From the greetings from the security guards, transport, check in, which was a breeze
The cleanliness and view from my suite are indescribable. The friendliness and willingness of the staff are highly complimented. Joseph, the concierge, Angelique, Neisha, Luke, kerwyn Stephanie and so many, that I wish I can mention them all. You guys are the best. Hyatt Regency Trinidad, is the best.
Excellent customer service , great ambiance and the surroundings / rooms were clean and welcoming.
Would def visit again!
The service and hospitality at this hotel is 5 stars, from the team at breakfast buffet to the caring staff at the pool to the patio restaurant. Everyone is truly friendly kind and genuine. They make you feel at home.
I would especially like to recognize Kim who took care of my group. Se gave us stellar service.
You should truly be proud of the excellence staff you have in your hotel.
Exceptional Stay at Hyatt Regency Trinidad
I had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad. The location is unbeatable, right on the beautiful waterfront with stunning views that set the tone for a relaxing and memorable visit. The staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond to make the experience seamless. Every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable, and perfectly situated for both business and leisure. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will absolutely return. Highly recommended!
Great place second time visiting
What I truly appreciated about my stay at the Hyatt Hotels Corporation was the seamless blend of elegance, comfort, and impeccable hospitality. The property exuded a refined yet welcoming atmosphere, where every detail felt intentional and thoughtfully curated. The rooms were exceptionally well-appointed spacious, pristine, and designed to evoke a sense of calm and indulgence.
What stood out most was the level of service: attentive without being intrusive, professional yet genuinely warm. From the tranquil ambiance to the overall sophistication of the property, the experience felt both luxurious and effortless, making my stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable.
I didn’t encounter any aspects that detracted from the experience. Everything was thoughtfully executed and thoroughly enjoyable.
I have been a loyal guest at this hotel for the past 10 years and have always appreciated the level of service and overall experience. However, this year’s stay did not meet the standard I have come to expect.
Despite my stay totaling approximately $5,000, breakfast was not included this year, which was disappointing, as it has traditionally been part of the experience. Additionally, after participating in Jouvert, there were no doubles available, which was surprising and inconvenient given the cultural significance and typical expectations surrounding the event.
Overall, the level of hospitality and attention to detail felt different this year. The experience did not reflect the expertise and consistency I have grown accustomed to over the past decade.
I hope this feedback is taken into consideration, as I would like to continue supporting and staying at this hotel in the future.
The experience was incredible. The food is top notch! The staff was exceptional…thank you managers, Amit and Angelique. Thank you to all the other staff who made this an excellent stay…Shibohan, Melissa, Shelly Ann, Luke, and Adana. Ask for any of these team members! You won’t be disappointed.
I am truly disgusted with Hyatt Regency Trinidad and Tobago with their lack of service and attention to detail and the care about their loyal repeat customers. I visited on February 8 through the 15th and I was devastated by the declining infrastructure of the hotel and the disregard for basic human services. I was treated as another "John Public" to extort funds from at this time of the year, while declining to give basic needs such as cleaning my room and sanitizing it on a consistent basis throughout my stay. I had to beg and pander to their whims and fancies on any given moment, dependant upon who was at the Front Desk. I had to change rooms at least 3 or 4 time upon my arrival due to the rooms being inappropriate for any extended stay or the room eas already occupied. To add insult to injury, my sister whose health was on the decline when I left the USA, declined further and I had to leave unexpectedly 2 days before my expected check out date. They were unsympathetic and refused to give mr a basic refund for the 2 days that I left early and arrival 2 days late. Instead they declined a d turn around and sold my room that I left fully paid for, to the highest bidder! Hyatt Regency Management left me feeling duped and disappointed! I will never recommend this hotel in the state that they are running their establishment around this time of year whereby all decent human hospitality goes out the windows and CASH is KING! Shame in You Hyatt Regency Trinidad and Tobago!
I’ve always enjoyed staying at Hyatt Regency Trinidad, but my most recent visit left me disappointed due to the noticeable decline in amenities and overall guest experience.
In the past, small but meaningful touches made stays feel premium, such as complimentary sparkling wine at check-in. Unfortunately, that gesture has been discontinued. Additionally, rooms no longer include breakfast, which significantly reduces the value, especially considering that room rates have increased over time.
The Regency Club experience has also changed. Beverage options are now quite limited, with alcoholic service restricted to beer only after 6 PM. To make matters worse, the main bar does not open until 11 AM, which limits options for guests seeking earlier service or a more diverse selection of drinks.
The pool area, which used to have a vibrant atmosphere with a DJ, now feels noticeably less lively. This change removes much of the signature energy that once made the space a highlight of the hotel experience.
Post-J’ouvert service was also disappointing. Basic amenities such as hand towels, shampoo, and conditioner were not replenished or provided, which fell below the standard expected from a property of this caliber. The musical band and doubles were also taken away at the shower service.
Additionally, I paid almost $700 for Hyatt Lime tickets, which made the overall experience feel even less worthwhile when paired with the reduced amenities and service standards.
While the hotel still benefits from its prime location, comfortable rooms, and generally courteous staff, the reduction in amenities combined with rising prices makes it harder to justify the cost. I hope management takes note and works toward restoring the level of service and thoughtful perks that once set this property apart.
very quick check in process, my server Whitney was really marvelous, the allowed us to check out at 13:00 without additional cost
the elevators took some getting use to where you needed to select your floor before you enter and you needed to get into the correct elevator
Breakfast and staff service was excellent
The complimentary birthday treat was a 6/10
Great customer service. Food taste and variety was also quite good.
Would have liked some live entertainment because it was the weekend.
