If you want to run with the student crowd in Wollongon then go for it

Cons:

Tries too hard to be 'hip' and failed - this was the most expensive hotel on our holiday and was hugely dissapointing. Firstly expectation to check in on line then retrieve keycard from a machine - unfortunately machine gave us a double room and we requested twin so had to go back and get sorted.
Room was like bad student halls of residence . Building badly needs a building wash / window clean as would have been nice to look out of window in morning. We would have had breakfast but resented giving them any more of our money

Anzac weekend away.
Pros:

Theres nothing to complaint, Dad and i visited Wollongong over Anzac weekend to pay respects to our family friends, and we stayed overnight and loved the hotel and the staff were excellent. Dad loved the cozy bed.

Cons:

Nothing! We loved everything you offered us… even the illawara hotel and all the noise and entretaiment was fun to hear.

Pros:

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and it has always been a great experience. It’s consistently clean, convenient, and reasonably priced. I’ve always found it comfortable and easy to stay here, and I’ll definitely be returning again in the coming weeks.

Pros:

Great location, clean and spacious room. Very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom.

Most of staff very friendly and helpful except the male waiter on Saturday even diners service (Ian - think he was Korean). See below

Cons:

Ian, he was only interested in serving and attending to the female diners. Left my son and I for 30 minutes to wait to get service after he showed us to our table, other diners who were seated after we were seated he serviced first. All were female diners. In the end I called another young waiter over who promptly took our drink and food orders and apologised for the wait to even get a glass of water.

This waiter (Ian should spoken to by his manager as it was quite observous who he was most interested in attending to. If I was his manager I would stand this employee down, very rude and selfish man.
