Interesting building but not great quality. Okay for a quick night out but not a cosy stay.
Pros:

The building is very unique and quaint. If you like quirky and old fashioned, you'll like this place.

Cons:

We had 2 rooms. One room smelled like Indian take away and the other like smoke despite being a non-smoking room. One room was little better than the other with a larger bathroom and had a bath included, the other rooms bathroom was tiny and had a small old shower. The rooms are outdated and need redecorating. Some of the wallpaper is coming off of the walls at the seams and the paint is chipped everywhere. The hand wash and shower gel pump mechanisms didn't work. The lighting was quite poor. The TV didn't work. The chair in the room was just one random one from a normal table and chairs, not a comfy relaxing one. Not a bad price, but not impressed with the quality overall.

If you just want a bed for the night and need to be in centre of town, this will do the job!
Pros:

Central location and the building itself is steeped in history. Parking available not to far away.

Cons:

The whole Inn is in desparate need of an upgrade. The room we were in had a reasonable bathroom, the hot tap on the sink was hanging off and the shower had exposed pipes with holes around them. This will be a leak below at some point and soggy woodwork. The bed had clean bed linen but the duvet would have fitted a single bed and we asked for a second duvet + the pillows were dire. It was a clean bed, a shower and did for a night but not worth the £129 I paid for the room. I stayed at Godwins the night before, £104, four poster and top quality bed linen and room.

Pros:

The location was very good as it's close to the centre of town and the docks/museums and the station. Our room was quiet because we were at the back and on the top floor. The history of the building was also very interesting.

Cons:

The breakfast was good but it would have been better if there was a choice of fruit as well.

Gloucester is an attractive place to visit but make sure to dine early.
Pros:

The feel of staying in a very old house with updated modern comfortable facilities. The greatest attraction, of course, is the magnificent cathedral, which was our main reason to visit the town.

Cons:

It was annotated that the restaurant at the property was open until 12 am. To our disappointment, however, the kitchen was closed at 8:30. Then, we started walking through the town of Gloucester searching for a place to eat "anything": On a nice Saturday warm April evening many places in Gloucester were serving only drinks. Finally, we found a nice Italian restaurant where people seemed to be eating; while waiting at the bar for a table I was worried that, in the meantime, they might close their kitchen. Luckily, they knew that time for dinner for some travelers may be after 9 pm.

Nice location with the Cathedral and docks in close proximity.
Pros:

Excellent location but a bit noisy at night as we had a front room over looking a Main Street.

Cons:

My main concern was that the Wi-Fi in the room was almost non existent. Each time I managed to get a signal it cut off in a few moments. I checked with the reception that this was a problem and they said the because the walls were solid as this was an old building they had trouble seeming the signal. I eventually had to go out on the balcony to find a signal.
