The hotel is perfectly situated for quiet walks or a very short drive to Bath itself. The staff in the pub are very friendly and the food is tasty and not overpriced
The property is quite dated and in need of some modernisation
Room on top floor was hot due to current heatwave in UK - staff provided a fan which made it more than comfortable. Room was clean, tidy with drinks facilities.
Road outside was a little noisy with traffic driving through the village, which meant slept with window closed. Not a fault at all - just something to bear in mind if you are a light sleeper.
Excellent
Every thing was good
Breakfast was excellent both mornings. Check in was very easy and I was made to feel welcome. The bar and restaurant had been recently renovated to a very good standard.
The bed was comfortable.
Sadly the renovation scheme hadn’t reached my bedroom. Some of the bathroom fixtures were very loose and in need of replacing or refitting. The bedroom furniture was tired.
La posizione, il ristorante, il pub.
Con una sola finestra e senza chiaro d'aria ne condizionatore la camera era molto calda
Friendly staff lovely atmosphere bed was very comfortable fan provided in the room as weather was hot, food was wonderful and the cocktails where amazing
Bedrooms could use some tlc but still had everything you need
All the Staff were friendly and helpful
The food we ordered was freshly cooked, well presented and tasty and the service was friendly and good.
The bar area, restaurant and room was spotless
The only thing i would say is if I book again which I probably will I will ask for a room facing the back of the hotel, the hotel is situated on a busy main road which is very loud with traffic noise up until late and in this hot weather you need the windows open.
The rooms are a little tired but clean with everything you need
Food in the restaurant wasn't bad and good value for money.
Bed wasn't particularly comfortable and we weren't aware there would be live music playing at the location late into the night. We had to have the windows open due to the heat, but we were situated at the front of the hotel by the main road. Up until 2am motorcyclists were using the road directly in front of our room as a drag strip up the hill. We then had loud guests come in around that time. People went into the room above us and you could hear every footstep for the next 45 mins. Appalling nights sleep.
Room was veery hot, dated furniture good on-suite. Bedroom is above the bar which was noisy due to England match.
Air con would have helped.
Had a couple of pints in the bar bit of banter with the locals playing pool, I didn't have breakfast as I left at 7 to catch the ferry
The weather was extremely not I wasn't able to open my window but I wasn't so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep.
Very warm welcome and facilities were explained to us. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant (the waitress was excellent) the rooms were clean and we were very comfortable. We had to leave before the breakfast time but not a problem
Thank you for for a very pleasant stay
The stairs are a bit steep but that can't be changed
Excellent restaurant and menu catering for gluten free and other dietary needs. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Suitably located within reach of Bath and local attractions.
Felt comfortable as a single traveller.
The room appeared rather tired and in need of refurbishment. However stay was comfortable.
Nothing not to like will definitely be back

Great hotel & restaurant & bar & friendly lovely staff. Highly recommend!
Bathroom door didnt close & toilet seat wobbled but it didnt stop us enjoying our stay., just needs a tweak!
The location was ideal for us as we were visiting near by. We had a meal in the dining room and breakfast the next morning, both were excellent. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was a little tired, but clean .
