A very pleasant stay with good staff and excellent food
Pros:

Very warm welcome and facilities were explained to us. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant (the waitress was excellent) the rooms were clean and we were very comfortable. We had to leave before the breakfast time but not a problem

The stairs are a bit steep but that can't be changed

Pros:

Excellent restaurant and menu catering for gluten free and other dietary needs. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Suitably located within reach of Bath and local attractions.
Felt comfortable as a single traveller.

Cons:

The room appeared rather tired and in need of refurbishment. However stay was comfortable.

Excellent
Pros:

The location was ideal for us as we were visiting near by. We had a meal in the dining room and breakfast the next morning, both were excellent. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Our room was a little tired, but clean .

Great value for money. Great location and great staff!
Pros:

Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and allowed me to pick up the key early as I had to work at an event until after midnight.

Cons:

It was an exceptionally hot day and the windows couldn't be opened far, though they are period windows. With them open and the fan on it was fine.

We loved the hotel and location and the staff were great but the rooms need updating.
Pros:

Staff were all lovely and very welcoming and nothing was ever too much to ask. Restaurant area was lovely and food was great. Breakfast was really good and set us up for the day.

Cons:

It wasn't so much that we didn't like something but more of the rooms needing to be updated which I'm sure you are planning to do. We had room 1 and 2. Room 1 was huge but the ceiling is in need of repair. Updated decor required in room and bathroom. Better TV ariel needed. Room 2 was a good size but again needs updating- no wardrobe doors. No chair to sit on. TV too small and ariel wasn't good. The rooms were both clean and we would stay here again

Good location, clean room, but breakfast prices should be included in the price.
Pros:

Room was clean and tidy. I have stayed for 2 nights, but after 1 night the room was not cleaned. But the price for 1st & 2nd night was the same. On Saturday night the loud music and voices till 24.00

Cons:

At that price the breakfast should be included in the price. And the noise from the bar should be finished at 10 pm, not 12 pm.
