Shocking and aggressive manager
Pros:

I had the misfortune of visiting this place to get a copy of the key for the public park opposite as recommended by Parks and Forest Department Cape Town. The security on the front desk explained that he would not let me do it without his boss's consent.his boss being . Dennis..the building manager. I asked if his boss was in, at which point he went to speak to him. Fortunately for me, a resident of the building was also at the desk and overheard my request. The next moment Dennis comes storming around the corner shouting at me, very aggressive and rude, refusing to hand the key over( it is a public park) refusing to speak to the person from City of Cape Town parks, and was downright offensive. To say both myself and the resident were shocked is an understatement. She immediately apologized..not her fault and said that she would raise this with one of the trustees.. she witnessed the whole interaction. The phone number on their website does not work. There are no signs for a management company, so I have drawn a blank in terms of retribution for this unacceptable behaviour. I see from their reviews that this place is somewhat underperforming. I can totally understand why. As a result, the Cape Town Parks department are now going to change the lock on the public park and indicated that this was not the first incident . So unnecessary.

APPARTMENT 104 AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER
Pros:

STAY AT CENTURION CAPE TOWN – APARTMENT 104
TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION AND DISAPPOINTMENT!
The apartment was grubby to say the least. The photos portrayed in the advert were totally misleading and misrepresented. I have taken photos of the apartment as I found it.
The linen was threadbare and the towels were less shabby. One tug and they could all be torn apart.
The furniture left much to be desired (pictures available) and should be discarded. I would be ashamed to donate such to a charity. The bed was more than horrific and contributed to severe back pain.
Upon arrival several lights in the living area were not working and the bedside lamp closest to the bathroom was so dull that should a patron wish to read at night it would have been impossible.
The owner and host said he only replaced globes when they were ‘totally out’. He did replace that globe and the ones in the lounge area. He brought new towels which he told us he had found in the storeroom?
The bed upon arrival had been so badly made up that it appeared there was a redundant sheet thrown horizontally across the bed beneath the duvet. For this the owner had some irrelevant excuse and proceeded to redo the bed in front of us. Furthermore, he continued to give us a lecture on how a bed should be made???
There were approximately seven hangers for a couple staying for two weeks but there were many hooks without hangers!!!
The door to the bathroom did not close easily nor properly and made a dreadful noise that once in bed at night you were disinclined to go to the lavatory lest you wake your spouse. For this the owner and host was ready and available with an excuse.
Above the sink there was mold and I was continuously cleaning in this area. At all other apartments at which I have stayed the hosts have left both a clean apartment as well as cleaning materials. There was nothing in this apartment. Cupboard door handles mismatched or did not close.
When we complained to the host and owner his answers were flippant and said the photos were representative of the accommodation. I have photos to disprove this.
In an email to the host and owner my spouse itemized all the above and more and asked for a reduction of R5000, the former was prepared to give us only R1000. This is totally unacceptable.
On vacating the premises, I informed the host and owner of my displeasure and his mantra once again was ‘the photos were representative of the accommodation’. This is totally misleading and untrue. The best part of the Centurion was Khanya the hairdresser who gave of his best.

TOWELS DISASTER
Pros:

I was disappointed at the fact that...yes, i did mot understand the details of the bookings... but i was told to use the towels for the entire 3 nights or have them washed at the laundry across the road, at my cost.
This treatment threw me off....

Room 711
Pros:

This room 711 we stayed in was out dated and are in desperate need of up grading. The bed cover's clips don't close. the bathroom sink is cracked and the doors uneven and sagging. All the cupboard doors need oil. PLEASE upgrade and the windows can not close properly. The wind was blowing and singing the whole night.

Pros:

Voor het geld wat je er voor betaald is alles prima. Kamers zijn niet super mooi en bedden zijn oud. Zwembad is prima en locatie is top. 20 euro per nacht is goedkoper dan een backpacker dus al met al is het goed

Will never go back
Pros:

This was the worst experience I had in a very long time, not only was the manager unprepared for our visit but the facilities were not functioning correctly. We had to wait more than a week for the deposit to be paid back which isn’t acceptable.

Not if you want an actual vacation...
Pros:

You are told during check in by the owner that you are expected to keep the place spotless - there is no servicing of the apartment. I was shown all the cleaning tools that I should use however no washing liquid is provided and you are only afforded half a toilet roll for your entire stay. You will be expected to go to supermarket to buy toilet roll and cleaning aids. This is not my idea of a holiday if you are expected to do house shopping and clean the flat everyday. The towels have human hair on them and the towels and bed sheets are stained. The apartment was very basic, shoddy and cold! The noise levels were horrendous on everyday of my 6 day stay as there are noisy neighbors and constant major renovations happening. Don't expect to sleep late in the mornings! I discovered that the satellite TV only had a few channels working and the owner, Vaasi, tried to fix it as he agreed that the main movie channels were supposed to be working but the week had ended and still no success on the DSTV. The building and apartment is old and needs some maintenance. One morning I had to complain of no hot water and was approach by unfriendly staff and attitude from the owner. I truly felt unwelcome and not safe throughout my stay. Don't forget to take out the trash before you leave as this might cause drama as seen in previous reviews. Certainly not my idea of a relaxing fun holiday. The mountain view and location were the only positives.

Great location rude management below par apartment
Pros:

Hidden fees , rude reception and below par room.

Upon arrival, we were rudely received by a grumpy person, who accused us of being unreasonable, racist and con artist trying to take advantage of the management. The person at reception gave us the the run down when we arrived, a breakage deposit was paid, but after that the other fees that were not 'obvious' were suddenly being requested. Parking fees , and late checking in fees ( when the website clearly states checking in closes at 12 am) we arrived at 10pm (we called at 4pm to say what our ToA would be) and we were told it cost extra to check in after 8pm. When we questioned these fees, the person at reception told us we basically staying for free and we should just pay up. The other statement such as racists and unreasonable con artist trying to push the management around. The room had dodgy bedding and no heating or aircon. The room very drafty as the windows doesn't seal very well and the furniture was really of low quality. Elevator broken half the time, and we took the service elevator or stairs mostly.

Affordable, no-frills Apartments for Family Vacation...
Pros:

This self-catering accommodation is, in my opinion, best suited for family vacation for those looking for last-minute peak season availability at budget prices, and not particularly worried about having just plain accommodation, without all the niceties offered by hotel brands. A big plus though, is the excellent location of this hotel, having a fabulous view of both sea and some scenic mountainous landscapes, within an affluent Sea Point Cape Town neighborhood. Another advantage is the abundance of grocery/retail shops and restaurants, without being necessarily noisy at night. A few dislikes, for future attention: Reception is dull, drab and 'cramping', and will be more welcoming with brighter colours and lighting, especially because guests desiring stable wifi (including my 7-year old son) needed to sit the whole time of wifi availability at the Reception, away from our 6th floor rented apartment. Also, the management should improve the quantity and quality of towels supplied to family guests. Guests booking this accommodation should be aware there are no AC units, only ceiling fan...we needed no heating in our case (it was hot in Cape Town in December when we stayed), and occasionally used the ceiling fan...

Staying at Centurion All Suite Hotel
Pros:

I booked accommodation at this hotel earlier this year and when I arrived I was really not impressed with the accommodations. The lobby area of the hotel has been revamped so it looks good as you enter, yet the rest of the hotel has been forgotten. It has residential units as well as holiday units to rent. The elevators are in poor condition - only a maximum of 3 people allowed in at one time or they will break down. Even your luggage needs to go up to your room via the service elevator or the staff - who are very unfriendly - yell at you. There were cockroaches everywhere and the whole place had a very run down feel. I WOULD NOT recommend this establishment to anyone

Very disappointed
Pros:

I stayed at the "hotel" for a few months and I was very disappointed.

The prices were high, the reception area always smelt terrible, the manager is rude, and there are cockroaches!

Not worth the prices.

Monica has the best, clean apartments
Pros:

I made reservations in advance but when I arrived no one was aware of my arrival and the I was told the person by the name of Monica that I had spoken to did not work there.

I was then given an apartment that I
Looked horrendous, but I had no choice but to take it at that time.

Only to find out that I was tricked and that there are two people with apartments there and the person I made reservations with was there and her office is in the inside of the building.

Her name is Monica she had waited for my arrival, I then spoke to her she had my apartment for me for the days I had initially booked for and gave me a day free,
My apartment was at the pool, it was beautiful she was so kind.
She did not rush me at checkout time.

Don't get discouraged

Family holiday
Pros:

Our stay was very good over all because of the area, everything is in walking distance and everything else is a short taxi drive away. The rooms aŕe very basic but comfortable. Hotel can put a little more effort into cleaning especially the walls.

Letdown !!
Pros:

I booked through QVI as this was their owned property and possibly after experiencing their other properties, I was expecting higher standards here as well. However, my experience was anything but high.

We (3 adults) checked in and were handed over a key to the apartment on the 6th floor (603). No paperwork.. nothing. A tiny lift and extremely smelly carpets took us to the apartment which looked like a jail barrack from the outside with the steel door etc.

Once inside, we were welcomed with a musty smell and very dated furniture. The kitchen had a greasy cooking top and a very unclean air filter. There were cockroaches in the cupboards and ants all over. The dining table had bar stools so high one could get a permanent hunch.

Next came the bathroom.. no lock !! and broken door. Quite embarrassing and one had to keep lights off inside while using for some privacy

We looked for a safe and found a tiny steel box nailed to the wall which was locked and without a key (so we couldn't use it)

We looked for an AC but the apartment didn't have any neither any fans.. keeping windows open at night wasn't a good experience at all.

The sofa cum bed did not open inspite of trying many maneuvers.. finally settled on the floor with a rather lumpy mattress.

Then we realised that the power sockets in SA were very different from anything we had seen anywhere else in the world.. on asking for an adapter at the desk, we were dissappointed to note that the building didn't have any spare for guests and we had to charge our phones next day after buying one.

However the location was excellent and quite convenient with or without a car.. that being the only saving grace.

Will avoid this place next time
