Pros:

Perfect stay at the Derwent House Hotel. Great location, lovely staff and comfortable bedrooms. I can see why so many guests come back year after year. Sadly we were both ill while there so weren't able to make the most of all the facilities, however we plan to return at some point in the future.

Great location for an excellent stay in a wonderful hotel
Pros:

Super friendly & helpful staff. Great location for Table Mountain, the V&A, Constantia and all the beaches and drive down from Camps Bay.
Excellent breakfast with almost everything imaginable.
All the small touches, like complimentary cake at 4pm, port & sherry. Loved the whole concept of the honesty bar too.

Gorgeous boutique hotel
Pros:

What a lovely place to say! The hotel itself is gorgeous - stunning pool, very comfortable lounge area, beautiful decor. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and relaxed. What makes it so special is all the little touches - sunscreen, afternoon tea, daily note. Would come back any time.

Cons:

The room doesn't have a fridge, if that's something that bothers you, but given they give unlimited water and an honesty bar, it's not really a problem.

Viel tegen
Pros:

Wij komen in vele hotels over de hele wereld maar dat dit hotel een zeer hoge beoordeling heeft en best duur is verbaasd ons. De duurdere kamer die wij geboekt hadden is klein, je kan echt je koffers niet kwijt, is zeer gehorig, geen netflix en had geen balkon terwijl in de boeking staat dat er wel een balkon is. Ruilen met een andere kamer was onmogelijk! De foto's zien er mooier uit dan het is. Er werd ons aangeraden in de avond vanaf Kloofstreet met een uber naar het hotel te komen ivm onveiligheid in de straatjes rondom het hotel. Zwervers halen ook de vuilnisbakken leeg in de straat van het hotel overdag. Kloofstreet is lang, onder aan de berg best leuk maar het hotel ligt bovenaan de berg, dus altijd bergopwaarts lopen om terug te gaan waar je een behoorlijke conditie voor moet hebben. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de kamer was schoon. Ontbijt is goed en het zwembad heerlijk.

Cons:

Dat er voor een kamer zonder balkon hetzelfde bedrag wordt gevraagd als met balkon. De locatie, in de avond niet veilig. Je moet altijd een Uber nemen in de avond bijvoorbeeld naar Waterfront, daar is het veiliger om te gaan winkelen, eten en drinken.

Magnifique, un pur séjour de bonheur, au calme.
Pros:

C’est un petit hôtel remarquable et incroyable tant par son accueil, sa propreté, sa décoration, son petit-déjeuner, son souci du détail, les grands hôtels devraient en prendre de la graine. Nous le recommandons à 200%. C’est vraiment un lieu unique comme on voudrait en voir plus souvent. Bravo à toute l’équipe, nous avons passé un pur moment de bonheur.
