Pros:

Beutiful period hotel, great location and staff happy to help with anything. Breakfast was also great.

Poor customer service
Pros:

Booked my balcony, room 2 hours before arrival. I got a call to say human error, and the balcony room was double booked,so I had to stay in a room with no balcony.
Upon arrival, the receptionist did not smile, nor did she seem happy to see me.I questioned that I had been downgraded and that the higher rate had been taken out of my account. She could not work out the difference, and there was some back and forth,until I asked that the manager call me.I was not told about the front doors locking at 6pm or how to get back into the motel.Overall the customer service was absolutly apauling as to was the no information.I will never be staying here again.

A lovely experience full of heritage
Pros:

Value for money . Loved its heritage. Lovely balcony, bed was so comfortable. It’s a beautiful place to stay .Staff were very pleasant.

Cons:

Not a complaint as it is an old hotel but worth noting there is no lift and accommodation is on the first floor.

Beautiful old Hotel in a perfect location
Pros:

Beautiful old Art Deco building with a huge balcony wrapping the property. Recommend a balcony room as these are bigger. Our room was quiet and nicely decorated but small. Great location

Well located and typical of a country pub.

Cons:

The room was small and had both electrical power points not working and a dripping tap. The number of electricity cords running to various appliances/locations in the room were quite likely an electrical safety hazard. Directly outside the room was a deck which could be accessed from multiple points, on which people sat directly outside our room talking long into the night. The make up of the room on our second day was incredibly delayed, whereas on the morning of our departure there was a loud banging on the door at literally 10.01am and a cleaning staff member rudely stated that check out was at 10am - something i have never encountered in hundreds of hotel stays over decades. When i expressed concern to the manager about the rudeness of the cleaning staff she just shrugged and said nothing. I would strongly recommend travellers to Broken Hill try other accommodation providers - of which there are several in the main street.

Love the retro decor, comfy beds and in room chairs and sizeable rooms. Shower was pretty decent, overall roomy ensuite.

Cons:

room 14 being so close to the dumb waiter that is used by housekeeping, it's really noisy particularly when used at 8am

Pros:

Lovely room and clean bathrooms, Art Deco style lounge was great and room decor felt very authentic. No in-house dinner but close walk to good pubs and clubs.
