Beautifully prepared.
Paint peel in the bathroom.
It was really quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
There was no bar or evening meal.
The hotel had that old world charm, high ceiling, beautiful architraves and the bedding was king sized. Continental breakfast in the lounge area. It gave a feeling of comfort and coddling.

Classic building, but not a typical 'old hotel'. Renovated to a high standard, admittedly probably a coupler of decades ago, and still good.
Our room was very quiet and peaceful yet we were in the centre of town and could walk everywhere.
On street parking only. Not really a problem but we did have to move the car about during the day.

The property was in a great location, very central, walking distance to all the cafes and restaurants. Although the balcony was being upgraded when we stayed, to be able to go out and sit on the balcony is lovely.
It would have been lovely if the lounge area could have remained open to guests after 6pm. After going out for dinner it would have been lovely to be able to assemble as a group to relax after dinner and talk about the day with a tea or coffee.
Not a safe place to leave a vehicle overnight - we experienced attempted theft and damage. Staff dismissed our concerns when we arrived and advised it was very safe.

Musty, a lot of street noise and disappointed the magnificent dining room and bar was no longer open.
