Very nice area but the hotel is old and not well maintained.

Ok hotel—noise when mosque is in session. Not in cleanest part of city.

Personnel tres sympathique et arrangeant. Hotel tres bien placé, dans le centre de dakar.
Prendre la reservatiin en direct, beaucoup beaucoup moins cher.

I really enjoy my stay , the quietness , the staff helpfull and kind , the location is central, the breakfast is ok but i miss the warm meny scambled eggs or omelette ????

Veldig sentralt ; rent og stille omrade, hyggelig og behjeplig personaler .tips / Frokosten kan bli bestilt pa forhand etter behov dagen for, etter menyen.

Solo stay for 2 nights. Airport pick-up and drop off were done as pre-arranged by phone call. Wifi was good. Bed was OK but not great. Shower had hot water and fair amount of power. Bathroom and bedroom were spacious. Lights and power outlets in room worked well. Hotel doesn't have much atmosphere or decoration, but it works for a basic hotel.

After calling the hotel to organise a transfer from the airport all was under control. The taxi driver was very welcoming and I arrived at the hotel I was made very welcome. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable with good air conditioning and plenty hot water and good WiFi. The fridge was well sticked and the street has many supermarket, corner shop within walking distance. Would recomend this hotel.

This Hotel is in the middle part of Dakar and is not recommended for vacations, the breakfast was the same every day for 2 weeks.
The rooms were ok but basic but would do very nicely if on Business accommodation.
The staff were polite and spoke good English, and the room was comfortable and clean.
However be careful of the transport, and barter for a price.

Ended an overland tour of West Africa here. The place is adequate. There is an elevator. Breakfast was not included [at least on our tour] but available for 3,500 XOF. The room was large with three single beds. The bathroom was big with a separate shower and hot water, quite the combo for the area. Soap was provided. There is a bar. A courtyard area is straight beyond reception. The port area [for trips to Ile de Goree] is a five minute walk away. There are a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. Transportation to the new airport should be in the 20,000 XOF range per cab. The hotel is not fancy or charming but a decent spot for a night or two.

Location was great. Need better internet connection, was having issues.

Nous recherchions un hôtel en centre ville, celui-ci est très bien situé à proximité de la place de l'indépendance, du marché, de la gare maritime etc..

Good location and convenient. Old facilities, poor sound insulation.

Vi tilbragte 8 dage på dette hotel og var derfor glad for, at værelset var det mest velfungerende af de tre vi havde boet på. Der var både køleskab og elkedel.
Værelse og sengetøj blev holdt super rent hver dag, på trods af al det støv, der blæste ind fra gaderne. Vi brugte balkonen meget, da temperaturen var behagelig
allerede på 2. etage.

Al Baraka is situated in the middle of the city centre, giving it the perfect location to step outside into the busy streets and explore the market places or take a gentle stroll towards the of beach. After a day of experiencing this wonderful city, you will be happy to return to Al Barak to a cool drink from the bar, then enter your air conditioned room, to enjoy a long hot shower, then relax on the most comfortable bed and watch a movie. It's surprising how quite the rooms are at night, what with it being situated on a busy street. Though no complaints as I was guaranteed to get a great night sleep.

I stayed here on 2 occasions and can confirm that it's easy for find, clean, spacious and has the most helpful and friendly staff that are happy to facilitate your every request. Thank you team for a fantastic experience.

Great night attendant and the restaurant manager served me petite déjeuner after the service had closed. However when checking out I was initially asked to pay 345 cfr and then it came to 1500 then somehow he was asking for 5000. Very sketchy behavior. Overall I’d recommend staying somewhere else.

très mal c un hôtel très anciens et le personnel morose

This hotel was super luxurious compared to other places we stayed in Dakar. Great location in the Plateau, close to markets, grocery stores, etc. Affiliated with the Restaurant Farid a few blocks away which was a pretty good take on Lebanese food. Our room was nice and clean, had a mini-fridge which was awesome, TV, AC and a huge balcony (with no furniture tho). Comparatively great shower and a bidet. Really nothing to complain about. Room was quiet and comfy. They called us a cab to go to the airport in the middle of the night.

Sehr zentral gelegen. Ansonsten bietet das Hotel nicht sehr viel. Allerdings ist es für Dakar-Verhältnisse relativ sauber und das Personal ist hilfsbereit.
