Hotel City Plaza 17

As we arrived at the hotel there was 2 mattresses in the main hall of reception and people ready to sleep there, there was a lot of guys talking very loud and when we arrived everyone getting close to us like the next entertainment... Discousting energy really, feels dirty and bad vibes so we didn't stay at all, we ask for compensation

It was a comfortable stay, good breakfast was served. Reception staff helped us with the late check in, we were offered a clean room.

The hotel seemed to be in the middle of reconstruction/refurbishment when I stayed in Feb 2020. It needed it - tired, old bathrooms, ceilings where mould had grown and the like.
The location, though fairly central in Chandigarh and not too far from the museums isn't close to the government quarter or many restaurants
Worse than either of these was the utter amateurism of the staff. Several seemed barely able to understand English. Room service orders were mixed up and requests for information and assistance not answered clearly.
I'd say avoid until they've completed the refurbishment and got more professional staff

Bad experience

I spent over a week at Hotel City Plaza 17 in Chandigarh last month, and had a great experience there. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of sector 17, great access to shops and restaurants, and the hotel itself was clean, good hot running water, air conditioning, very fast room service, cable tv, good and cheap laundry service, and very quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and really made an effort to make my stay as convenient as possible - and the price was very reasonable for the location and room quality. Highly recommended.

I have travelling all over world through expedia booking as it is official tour agency for my company but for hotel booking your selection of hotels for India is not good. You should not include such hotels in your recommendations which does not know meaning of hospitality.

Staff had shown good hospitality. Will prefer to stay again. Reasonable rates good accessibility.

The room was a pleasant stay. The hotel staff were polite, and professional. The best part of this hotel was the location. It was in the heart of the shopping center.

Elevatoren virkede ikke (2.SAL). Skrald og uorden på 1.sal, hvor en personale sad og halvsov midt i rodet.
Værelset havde ikke udsigt (kun 1 gren grønt øverst oppe, var lille og med "lortebrune" gardiner.
Vi ville ikke kunne gå ud om aftenen og spise (fattigt og ussels kvarter) og der var ingen restaurant på hotellet. Morgenmaden på det meget lidt tiltagende værelse.
Selv om vi havde betalt for 4 døgn, valgte vi at flytte med det samme.
Receptionspersonalet var venligt.

一人旅のホテルとしては、多少贅沢。
但し、シティーセンター脇というホテルの立地のよさは何者にも変えがたい。
夕方のお買い物には本当に便利です。

Not a good hotel for staying with families. The rooms are old and stinking. There are no windows to the room opening on fresh air side. The only small window opened in the common corridor of the hotel. Room is too small, stuffy and full of some smell. If complained, room boy will spray strong perfume which will surely give you headach.
Not worth the money they charge.
There are better & cheaper & cleaner hotels in other sectors of Chandigarh.
