I didn't go
Bed bugs
Park outside my door
People smoking everywhere around my room
It was fine location
That we had to pay $25 early check in fee even though was afternoon
Nothing it was the worst .
Bedbugs and bloodstains. Staff that yelled at us when we were just trying to get full refund and leave after arriving. 50 Amish swimming fully clothed and asking our children's age with interest. Zero water pressure hotel looks and should be abandoned
Location and beds
Staff didn't write down I did deposit in cash so had a issue there. The vent to ac in room had mold on them.
It was clean.
The property is a little run down. The beds are not very comfortable.
Older hotel needs some upgrades.
Our door to hallway wouldn’t close properly had to slam it to shut it. You could see it’s been done often. Mattress was very uncomfortable.
Nothing
Filthy
Rooms were very clean and staff was very nice. Breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed the pool.
Don't do it !!! Much better places in the area. The pictures on line are from years ago and do not represent today. There is nothing clean in the place
Our room was clean and neat. It was easy to get to and close to attractions. The breakfast was decent. The beds were comfortable.
The pool was unique but the water level was low, the lighting poor, and streaks of rust were visible on the walls of the pool.
I am giving my rating 3 stars based on our overall impression and experience. If I were to rate on cleanliness alone I would give it 5 stars.
This was our first visit to Hannibal, MO. We tried a different route home from our trip to NE to TN, where we live. First impression pulling up to the hotel was that it looked run down. The windows looked dirty/cloudy and my 13 year old son didn't want to stay. We decided to stay since it was only 1 night. Our room, 2 queen beds, was fine. It was clean as was the bathroom. We brought our small dog along so we were in a pet friendly room. The tiles were loose and actually coming off the baseboard in the bathroom. We were going to leave our dog in the room while we drove off a bit for dinner. The TV wasn't working. Apparently there was a problem with wifi. We usually have the TV on to pacify our dog when we leave. I must pause here and say the hotel staff was very personable and friendly. When we returned from dinner (I will also write a review for where we ate as the food was delish!) the TV still wasn't working so we asked one of the staff about it and he brought in a guy who had been working on the wifi. They were very professional about coming in our room. The guy was able to get our TV working rather quickly. It's a nice big TV! We were pleased with the lack of noise in the hotel overnight.
The following morning we went to the fast side of the hotel which is/was Howard Johnson. There's an indoor pool in that section. It seems this part was really nice back in the day (70s/80s) with non working arcade games, old plants, a very nice dining room that you see as you make the trek to the breakfast area which is located across from the hotel desk. The lady seeing out the food was very nice and welcoming. The actual room was pretty small with only a handful of tables. There was coffee, juice, yogurt, eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal, oatmeal and mini pastries as I recall.
All in all, the staff was great and the rooms were clean as was the breakfast area. The upstairs and downstairs were closed which felt a little creepy at night. I'm unsure if the hotel was upgrading a little at a time or what. I'm torn about whether we'd stay here again. Our choices are somewhat limited when we travel with our dog. Had I been traveling alone, I don't think I would've stayed based on the outside of the hotel. It really needed sprucing up to be more welcoming and appealing to prospective guests.
The breakfast lady.
Bedding was clean.
Owner/manager wasn't pleasant. Most things broken or not in use around the facility.
Room 402.
Bathroom door doesn't close all the way ans squeaks loud enough to wake the dead.
Pool cues.
To use them, you have to leave your id with them. (Nope)
Bad floor in room.
Cheap pressed flooring curling on the edges from water.
Lock catch on inside door jacked up.
Beds on roller frames. No brakes. Roll away from the wall.
Refrigerator so shallow small pizza box won't fit.
Changed to room 404.
Bad floor and door sticks but does almost close and doesn't squeak.
No drain plug in tub.
Ac keeps turning off completely.
It rained and leaked through the floor under the outside door and is wet 15' inside on pressed wood floor. (Now we know why it's curling)
Hot water knob almost fell off in the tub.
Water pressure is just enough to keep the tab pulled up for the shower to work.
TV stopped receiving wifi so it quit working.
In less than an hour they put others in 402. That door could not have been fixed yet.
Breakfast was good.
TV. Vizzio is not the best way.
The property was clean and our room was very easy to get to.
The here wasn’t much we didn’t like.
The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good
The entryway and area where you come in to check in and eat breakfast was pretty hot and hard to eat breakfast because I felt sick from the heat. The pool was ok, definitely needs some up keep as far as the appearance (painting). My mom’s room had an ant issue and I swear every night at like 10 pm they shut off the WiFi because every night we were there it wouldn’t work for our phone or the tv to play a movie for my kids at bedtime so i ended up being able to make my hot spot work for one night.
