This hotel was so convenient and situated at the train station for both the Italy train from Milan and also the Bernina Express train. Lovely breakfast and accommodations were perfect. Staff were helpful. Recommend.

Too warm to be without A/C.
Pros:

I should have noticed that this listing appeared in the section where all my filters were not met…the important one being Air Conditioning. Perhaps the hundreds of reviewers that rated this choice as Excellent came at a different time of year. The property is in an outstanding location-just a few steps from one train station, where we disembarked, and a short walk to the bus we needed to find tomorrow morning.

Close to train stations and dining. The room was hot and no A/C adjustment possible. Was not told about fans in the room closet. Asked for coffee for the room and was given hot chocolate instead.

A lovely location so close to the train station & central square with many food & gelato options - the best gelato we had in Italy!

Right across the plaza from the train station and a quick tunnel walk to the bus station since the trains weren’t running.

Beware there is no AC in the rooms if you are a summer traveler.

Pros:

Room was small and a bit dated, lighting wasn’t great, had four globes blown. Bed was comfortable and linen was fresh and clean. Tiny shower, my husband could even turn around in it. Fine for the one night we stayed.

We were in Tirano for one night, we arrived from Chur in the Bernina Express. The room we stayed is PERFECT for two people, but we are a family of 4 adults (we are tall) and it felt quite small, including the shower, this is the only reason why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Other than that, the room was very clean and it is right next to the train station which was exactly what we wanted. The hotel restaurant offers a very good dining selection as well.

Conveniently situated for Bernina Express
Pros:

This hotel was convenient for train stations and an early Bernina Express train, however staff were not very friendly, room was tiny and very dated furniture wise and boiling hot with a fan, no a/c. Alsi lack of sockets in room as the mini fridgw and kettle shared a socket and once fan was plugged in, left 1 socket for cbarging phones etc.
