Only stayed one night en route west. Very comfy room (small single but perfectly adequate). Very nice shower. Free on road parking after 7pm, very convenient for shops, take-aways etc. Would definitely stay again
Friendly check in
room very small and tired needs up dating parking £10 very tight if you have a large car walking distance into town.
Was a very nice stay could of done with a extra pillow each but we never got back to the room till late so couldn’t ask but I know it would off been dealt with such a beautiful clean little hotel and location with everything local will definitely be staying again soon
Our room was a standard room which was on the small side. The bathroom was clean but the room carpet was stained probably from tea and coffee.
Unfortunately when we stayed there was building work happening on the establishment next door and each morning we were woken by the builders arriving, speaking loudly to each other and also swearing.we were not informed of this before we turned up! On our first night we were kept awake by the people in the room underneath.
The breakfast was very nice, the staff we met were friendly
We were told it was £10 to park in the car park for the duration of our stay which we paid. Unfortunately this is not guarantee you a space. It is a first come first served basis, so for the second night we had to park on a street around the corner. Overall we had an okay stay but not sure if we would stay there again
Breakfast good and hot restaurant clean room excellent
As I am a pensioner had to climb stairs light dim
Good for the price we paid however no air conditioning in room ( we had room on top floor) and lack of fan during the summer made for a very hot room was difficult to sleep
good
We had a slight problem when we arrived but the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and sorted it out. Family room was not big but clean, plenty of storage and beds comfy.
Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was not good. Everything was over cooked and dry and(in my opinion) seemed warmed up after being cooked a long time previous. However there was plenty of toast and cereal!
Location was great too. 10 mins walk to beach and town centre
No complaints, good location, clean and tidy and efficient.
Wonderful stay. Met with a very kind and informative greeting. Rooms clean, comfortable and spacious. Lovely choice at breakfast, both cooked and continental. Choice of breads for toast!!!!
Hotel is very central to the town centre, beach and Pavillion, perfect situation.
Everything very good, rooms was clean and inviting.
Unfortunately our room was affected by water pressure problems, this meant on the morning of departure I was stuck in the shower for 10 minutes covered in soap with no water supply as it cut out half way through. When it eventually returned it was cold. I contacted the hotel afterwards and they said this was because of water use in the street and it was out of their control...just keep this in mind therefore before booking. Overall we found our stay poor value for money.
The room was spotless and get full English breakfast and only problem is wasn't enough parking space
Smelly reception (lingering/ancient deep fried food smell); no free parking availble altough guaranteed on our booking (restricted availability was listed in the 'small prints' notes on booking.com but not on the hotel.com site that we used - we had to pay 10 £ for one night in a nearby parking space) and reverberating (not so good) live music from a loudy private party playing until at least 23:00 (not terribly late but we were tired). I'm glad ours was a deluxe double room (if it was) - I do not think we would have fit into a regular one. Scant amenities. One towel per person: I realize this is an English touristy hotels feature, but inconvenient. We were kindly given ONE extra towel upon request. Sad continental buffet breakfast, but eggs very well done to order (we weren't very hungry, so we didn't go for traditional breakfast).
The hotel was ok and the staff did their best to be helpful but our room was so hot and the windows didn’t open (which was known about by staff and hadn’t been fixed). The shower was a trickle of water and it was just disappointing for the cost of the room. I could have paid half the price for a premier inn which would have been better with air con and breakfast included.
I was kept awake by some very explicit noises coming from the bedroom next door, it went on for hours!! I was concerned about what sort of hotel I was in??
Place is shabby, towels didn't seem clean
Stayed there before be a use it is good value for money and comfortable. We had a different room which was on the top floor and spacious. But we found the shower challenging in that it stayed cold for a long time and then turned to hot and back again, not ideal. I also struggled with the lock to the door and had to be rescued from outside. Breakfast is very good.
NICE ROOM GREAT STAFF GOOD BREAKFAST A GOOD PLAC E TO STAY
We checked in around 19;30 and checked out the following morning before 8:30 and only used our ground floor room to sleep in. It was warm, clean and comfortable. We only met 1 member of staff who was helpful and friendly. We didn't make use of any of the facilities and had a room only option. Although the Hotel car park was full, we found a large car park nearby and then moved to street parking outside. The location was close to plenty of restaurants, etc. and it served our purpose well.
It is a great hotel.the staff are very polite and helpfull
