The location of the hotel is in the midst of pine-woods at more than 2,000 feet, affording us a wonderful comfortable temperature in otherwise hot Lebanese sea-coast summers.
Its proximity to Beirut night-life is awesome, and one can reach it in less than 30 minutes. The famous riverside restaurants in historic Beqaa valley were only a half-hour drive away, and access to many Roman ruins were less than an hour's drive.
The included breakfast is superior to any American hotel offerings. The hotel catered to our "special" breakfast requests without an extra charge. Interestingly, American coffee was not offered; but instant coffee was "bottomless".
The staff was respectful, helpful, courteous and always had "customer-first" attitude. Most of the staff were non-Lebanese which explained their weak mastery of foreign languages, such as English & French; but they were patient enough to comprehend and respond to your concerns.
The large balconies allowed a non-obstructed striking view of Mount Sannine and gorgeous sunrises from its peaks.
Parking was a challenge. The hotel allowed parking at its gate, even though there was a "no-parking" sign right at the spots. Besides, only four cars could fit in the tight spots.
No reservation when we checked in. Hotel was in poor shape, not clean with dirty carpets etc.
I stayed in this hotel 14 years ago when it was new and a great atmosphere. However, I don't think anything happened since that time.
Not recommended.
I visited this property 2 years ago I could say it was little better than now.carpet was filthy & breakfast was horrible
