Wyndham Garden Medicine Hat Conference Center

I was VERY disappointed in my stay at this hotel. I was there March 5-8 for a swim meet with my daughter. I booked this hotel based on the photos as it looked like a new or at least newly renovated hotel. It is not. The lobby was renovated, maybe parts of the room 10 years or more ago. I found the overall condition very poor. The blackout curtains in our room were cracked on the back and you could see light through them. The room we had was small(2 queen) as was the bathroom. There was no counter space in the bathroom. The shower had low pressure and the shower head was so low I had to duck to get my head under it(I am not tall, I’m 5’7”) The bathroom fan did not work…Our room had a very musty smell when we checked in. I told the front desk and asked for some air freshener of some kind, which did improve it. Housekeeping did not clean our room until 3 each day. It was also odd as it sounded like it was a lady and her young child cleaning the rooms? The room had a coffee maker, but no cups and the to-go cup (we only started with 1) we’re never replaced. I would not have been nearly as disappointed if I had not paid the equivalent of 240$/night using my points. I do not recommend.

It’s a bit dated, some one the lights and fixtures are loose but it is clean and comfortable and priced according. Great value. Definitely will stay here again.

This hotel is fully worth for the price. Maybe the outer view if the hotel is not attractive but interior is good . Very clean hotel. Room was comfortable , had all amenities except a kettle . Very comfortable clean bedding. Decent breakfast and coffee available all day around . Centrally located

Sink drain in the bathroom did not work, filled the sink for my husband to shave and the sink plug would not release. Could not brush our teeth. Rooms are dated and the hotel had not enought plugs to handle appliances and electronics...was an octopus of cords behind the mini fridge. Rooms were cleam but evwn for a discounted price ...recommend spending a bit to get more!

Parking lot we found to be dark but hallway was very bright and well kept. Room was clean, staff was friendly. Pet friendly and wheelchair accessible if that’s important to you. Continental breakfast was okay…typical. We’d stay here again.

If I could give this hotel a one star rating, I would. The room was disgusting. The walls are filthy, the bathtub had a ring of mould all the way around it and they covered it with clear silicone caulking, the wall unit heater/air conditioner had a broken down button so you could not lower the temperature in the room, the carpet had a hole in it, and the room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The eggs at breakfast had a crust on them as though they had been made the day before or something like that and served the next day. Some of the potatoes were cooked, some were not. The gym does not have any cleaner of any sort aside from the mounted hand sanitizer and face cloths. The bike is very loud but the elliptical and the treadmill work. There are dumbbells up to 30 lbs and a stability ball as well. It is also located right at the front door of the hotel. Some staff were good, some were not as friendly. The hotel is not at all well kept.

No usb plugs (although lady behind desk loaned me a charging block to use in the wall outlet) Both desk lamp outlets were non functional.
Just because we ask for a pet friendly room should not mean we get sub-par amenities!

The check-in was very easy and the beds were excellent. However, the first room we were given had water leaking on to the floor from the toilet. We were grateful for the washing and drying machines, however, there was no air flow in the laundry room so it was quite stifling.

Weve stayed here a few times before, and when we come to medicine hat, this is where we book. Past experiences have been great!

One of the beds was broken, the TV remote was broken, the light just inside the door was burnt out, the ATM was broken, and no discount was offered.

Just what we needed for our weekend at the racetrack!

August 21/25 I called the front desk and gave my name and phone number and said I wanted to cancel my reservation for Aug 26. They didn't call back and I assumed they cancelled my reservation. Wrong. I was supposed to cancel with Booking.com. I finally cancelled the day before but Booking said they could charge the full room price but they sent an email explaining that the blame should be shared with the hotel. Four emails later I give up that they will re-imburse any money. Zero customer service
