Comfortable room and hotel in a good location for access to city attractions.
Pros:

Didn't get breakfast there. Location near metro station and large shopping mall was good.

Cons:

I can't speak Mandarin and the Reception staff seemed to have a lot of trouble understanding English. Checking in and out took a long time.

I couldn't keep up with my normal job duties remotely as I expected since I did not have WiFi.
Pros:

The hotel was quite OK and located in a pleasant area close to a shopping mall quite useful for dining.

Cons:

The main problem with this hotel is that it doesn't have a working wifi connection to the internet. Therefore, it is very hard, if not at all impossible, to work remotely, while I am traveling.

Great staff
Pros:

The staff was courteous and professional. At least one staff could speak good English on duty. Restaurants were good, mostly geared to Chinese taste, which is ok. I only saw one or two westerners each day. Hotel is kind of far from tourist interest. 90 minutes to old village, 2 hours to Sanxingdui, 1 hour to panda reserch center. 1 hour to city center. 45 minutes from airport. Travelocity did have low rates for this quality of hotel.

Very good room but not the most convenient
Pros:

Wonderful room and service for the price. I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Not very convenient. Cab (20min, 30y) + Train ride to city centre. Last train back at 11pm if not it's 150y cab ride home.

Grand hotel near Chengdu Hi-Tech Industrial zone
Pros:

This hotel is built in the grand luxury style with very large well fitted out guest rooms. Very comfortable and welcoming hotel near the Chengdu Hi-Tech industrial zone.

The only fault is that the guest rooms are not fitted with universal power outlets that take all plugs - I was travelling with a UK laptop and could not charge the laptop, and enquiries at the front desk indicated that the hotel did not have adaptors for loan - this maybe have been a "lost in translation" issue. I strongly recommend the hotel install universal power outlets that are common throughout all upmarket hotels in Asia.
